Hell, he’d rather had the orc finish him in that spot as soon as the arrow had pierced his thigh and the barrels had rushed downstream, leaving him groaning in pain on the ground.
But it seemed fate had other plans for him, for the elves were quick to take down the remaining orcs that had remained behind and soon he had been yanked up to his feet despite his injury. Kili refused to cry out in front of them, despite the pain being strong enough for his vision to white out at moments.
The next thing he knew, he had been tossed on the floor in front of the throne, sopping wet and bleeding, wheezing for a breath. He had no memory of the journey back into the kingdom, but the implication of it slammed into him harder than the arrow had torn his skin.
At least the rest of the company had escaped.
“One out of thirteen. I’d say you lost.”
