Good afternoon, everyone! We hope that your day is swell, and that your new year is amazing! We've got another update for you! Our last update for 2014, no less! We have an exciting new event for you, as well as a few character updates, so let's just get right to it!

New Arrivals (12-31-24)

The train has pulled into station, bringing with it many fresh new faces to Elsternwick, we hope you enjoy your stay here!

A short character update, no reserves or drops this time! The biggest part of this update is our fourth and final Seasonal Update of 2024! As you can easily guess, it is Winter themed!

Winter Well Wishes (Seasonal Event: December - March 2025)

With the changing of the seasons, Winter has come to ELsternwick, bringing with it biting cold, strong winds, and extremely long nights. the sun sets so early, but this allows you to see the beautiful night sky for all the longer… and for some reason, Elsternwick's sky is particularly active.

With star showers becoming the norm, a beautiful aurora borealis visible for most times, sightings of beings from beyond the stars… it's quite strange. But what's more pressing is that numerous people are claiming their wishes have come true, no matter how absurd… which would explain some of the weirder events! Perhaps your muse's deepest desire could come true if you work for it!

Until the beginning of March, Elsternwick is dealing with strange night sky related issues, with shooting stars granting wishes, aurora borealis creating strange creatures and effects, as well as a wishgranter present, there's sure to have a lot of odd events occuring!

Your muse can have a wish granted, with varying levels of success (decided by roll!), but you must word it carefully, it could backfire or create problems for you, or other people in Elsternwick! But it'd be a small price to pay to have your deepest wish come true, right…?

Nights are longer in Elsternwick, with the beautiful purple sky being a constant companion, with strange new constellations, bright lights (Getting brighter), and shooting stars! This is a benefit to those who favor the night. You can simply go out and star gaze, or perhaps… Make a wish! Shooting stars are becoming a regularity, if you wish with all your heart, it just might come true… but remember to be careful what you wish for! ( Muse wishes can come true. no matter how ridiculous and dangerous they may be! You'll want to be careful, or help untangle any problems caused by these wishes coming true!)

Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? The beautiful northern lights dance in the sky irregularly, making a myriad of colors, you can go out and touch it if you scale the mountains, but you may not know what will happen… maybe you'll get powers? Or perhaps it's guiding you to something… (Seek the Aurora Borealis, what lies beyond it could be more valuable beyond your wildest dreams…)

Visitors from beyond the stars… Strange sightings in the sky perhaps herald the end of days. Numerous meteorites have crashed into the forest and mountains, revealing valuable starmetal, but lately, here have been reports of a strange purple haired girl dancing upon the lake and offering to grant one's hearts desire. This is onlyt he most reported, there may be even more visitors lurking just beyond… or they could just be winter fae, also possible ( Strange beings from beyond the stars are visiting Elsternwick! Are they friends, foes? Or perhaps ambivalent to good and evil? Only one way to find out…)

Winter Wiles Even with all this nonsense written in the stars, typical winter activities remain, ice skating, snowman building… visits from Saint Nicolas & The Krampus, expect them as well if you are good (or bad!), winter fae patrol the streets in search of entertainment, and lately, a number of strange logs with faces on them have appeared in houses outside of Elsternwick, what do they entail? No one knows… (Even with all the night themed activities, Winter activities continue as normal!)

Rewards: Helping (or running!) any of the aforementioned prompts will reward anyone participating with Black Market Passes, Arcadia Tickets, and various winter themed goods and items that can help or hinder your muse! If you do good, perhaps your Muse will even have their deepest Wish be granted….

This event is currently overlapping with Macabre Mystery of the Maligned Malicious Mystical Manor, as well as upcoming events! Even if you just feel like taking in the beautiful sights of the night sky, there's plenty to do! Just be careful, it's still very chilly outside…

Next year will soon be upon us, and as with this year, it will contain 3-4 Story Events (Run by us, not counting member events!), and 4 seasonal events, and we well and truly hope you look forward to them, whatever they may be! We certainly are!

Good afternoon, followers of Elsternwick and those just checking in! We hope your Summer has been pleasant and not too hot!

We would like to apologize for another lapse in activity, we've been quite busy especially with this particular Summer being harsh with weather and heat, so things have been held up and we have been rather distracted for the season...

We are still active, and we are still around and accepting new applicants, even if things are slow, as before, we've been sidelined but for a good reason!

We are currently in the middle of something of a refresh for Elsternwick, because we're in the middle of changing the majority of our RP rooms and categories into Discord Forums, which were added after we initially opened, and we feel those serve the purpose of RP Much better without making things confusing, and we are also endeavoring to make information easier to find, which will also come soon!

We're almost finished with the forum change over, and once that's complete things should be much easier to manage and get RPs with!

The information update will likely be focused into a single master document, or perhaps even be held on an another site such as carrd, we're still figuring it out!

There are a few other things planned (Including story events and seasonal events!), but that's all for now, we apologize if you've been waiting for updates!

It won't be long before it's finished and we have more to talk about, and we hope you'll look forward to that!

Good evening, followers of Elsternwick and those just checking in! Sorry to keep you hanging with a lack of updates, we've been very busy touching stuff up, planning events, as well as the current update that we're very excited to share with you!

We've decided to keep this update a little short, but to get right to the point...

March 11th, 2026 is Elsternwick's 5th anniversary since (re)opening! We were actually open for longer, but March 11th is the date we decided to try again and reopened! It's been half a decade since we opened, half a decade of fascinating characters, and half a decade of fun adventures, we couldn't believe it's been that long either!

We well and truly appreciate all the support you've given us across the years, and promise we'll be around for another five years! The Mod team is well and truly grateful for all the support you've given us for all this time!

To celebrate, as we usually do annually, we are holding a special anniversary event in Elsternwick!

Elsternwick is celebrating with various anniversary and birthday themed decorations, hidden gifts lurking in plain sight, and with a haunted house and a fun remix of a classic adventure, as well as a few other special RPs reminiscent of previous encounters over the past five years! Simply check out the appropriate forum and RP there to your hearts content!

This will last until Mid-April 2026, so if you're interested in joining Elsternwick or spectating, now is an excellent time to hop on in!

Good afternoon, followers of Elsternwick and those just checking in! We hope your Summer has been great so far, and that you're doing well! Once more, we'd like to apologize for a lapse in updates and changes, the past six months have been very busy and distracting for a number of the members of our Mod team, but things will hopefully be getting better soon!

We just wanted to let you all know we're still around and still accepting new applicants, it's just that we've been sidelined for a variety of reasons-...

We're hoping to get things picked up really soon and we'll get everything together, and we'll be sure to let you all know when it's ready!

At the moment, we're planning and working on making our information more easily accessible, as well as offer alternatives to our summaries not just on tumblr, and that's been taking up a bit of our time, once it's ready though, it should be easier than ever to check on any information you might want to double check! <:

Once more we'd like to apologize for a lapse in updates, the winter season always takes us by surprise, but we've also been busy with quite a few updates, and we're excited to finally be able to share them with you!

It is Elsternwick's 4th Anniversary!

On March 11th, 2021, Elsternwick formally (re)opened its doors, and we never could've expected how much amazing writing, great characters, and memorably creative events we would've gotten in one year, let alone that we'd keep going strong for four years! It's been a great third year, and we're ready to enter the fourth!

Year 3 of Elsternwick was focused on expanding on and delving more on parts of Elsternwick's past (The sewers, the museum, the Creepy Manor), and learned more than a few about the little town where you vacation!

We hope that you enjoyed As Above So Below, Treacherous Treasure, and Macabre Mystery of the Maligned Malicious Mystical Mansion !

Story Events this year will focus on three central words, Fate, Cycles, and Repetition, and there will be a mix of serious and fun events this year, and we hope you'll look forward to them!

Each word will focus on a different event and how that word plays into things-… you'll have to see!

We have not one, not two, but four upcoming events to discuss! Oh yes, we've been busy, and we hope that got your attention!

So, without further adieu, the upcoming events in Elsternwick for 2025!

The Weird Wizard's Tower (Anniversary)

Darryl, the local Wizard of Elsternwick who has long helped deal with unsolvable problems has gone missing, no one knows where he went! The only clue is that his usually active tower has fallen silent, and any one can simply waltz on in if they feel like it!

With some temporal distortions taking root around Elsternwick and the distant town of Polaris, you should brave the tower and see if you can find your lost wizard friend!

Within, you'll find objects from across Elsternwick's past, including past events, dungeons, and a few other oddities, including a room that may allow you to communicate with who's really running the show around here…

This is a time limited event and an Elsternwick Anniversary event, so there's plenty of call backs to the town's past… and future! We look forward to how you'll interact with Daryl's stately tower!

Chrono Distortion (Fate)

The distant town of Polaris, one focused on creating art and entertainment, has recently had a strange visitor who has sold them a protective dome. This is already odd, but temporal distortions have given glimpses into the town's past, and future… and neither of them look good, strange devices made to make art easier are all the rage, and the glimpses into the future show a grim outcome where there is no soul in art or entertainment, only half-baked schemes to make more money…

Before this can happen, you'll need to travel to the distant town and help correct the future! But be careful, because beings from both the present and the future will be attempting to stop you…. including robotic duplicates of yourself from the dark future!

This is a story event inspired by time travel tales (including one starring a Blue Rodent!) and will run until Mid-Summer, and we look forward to see how you save… or doom the future!

An Eggcellent Distraction (Spring)

Spring has come, and as with any new Spring, there's abundant life! Eggs are seen in all corners of Elsternwick… perhaps… too many eggs, they rest in all sorts of places from normal to not-so-normal, including in your houses!

And they're not just bird eggs, there are reptile eggs, strange large eggs you have never seen before, and perhaps a few from another world….

But a few more are filled with valuable treasure! Perhaps having some Eggxhilirating Searches will help take your mind off of all the trouble going in in Elsternwick and Polaris!

This is a seasonal event for Spring! It will run until the end of Spring and will focus on all sorts of eggs, ones that are inhabited, and ones that aren't… we hope you'll look forward to this one, we promise you won't reggret it!

???? (April Fools)

With April 1st, we tend to run some harmless pranks, and this year will be no different! With this coming April Fools event, you'll be trying your luck with a new system, try not to use too much of your (FICTIONAL) money though! You'll probably be a big fan, near the end you'll think we've Got Cha!

Good evening, Elsternwick! We well and truly hope that you're having a lovely night! We have another update, and this was the one we've been working on for most of the month, so without further adieu, let's get to it!

Character List Master Update!

If you've visited our page, you may have noticed that the "Character Master List" now directly links to this handy Google Doc!

By player request, we have decided to retire the Tumblr Page for characters, as it got quite long and navigating it was difficult for both PC and mobile users! All updates will now simply be made to this google doc, and it has been notarized by franchise to make for easier navigation, and now all fan characters are properly listed in their franchise, rather than be given their own category!

We've been hard at work at this for the past few months, and we're glad to finally have it out! We're also working on a similar but much smaller Reserves list that will look similar and will also be easier to view! The Ban List, as it is right now, will remain, but in the future it may also get a bigger document!

And on that note, we have some new characters!

And that about does it for the character updates, but that's not all! We also have the third and final Story Event for Elsternwick, this year, we focused on various different parts of Elsternwick (The Undeground, the Museum/Beach), and to round out the year, we're going to be headed to Delta to unearth the secrets of the Creepy Manor!

Macabre Mystery of the Maligned Malicious Mystical Mansion (Story Event: November - January 2025)

The Creepy Manor sitting just outside of Delta's manor has long stood vacant, disappearing and reappearing with each passing century, always changing it's appearance, it has long been a mystery, but a mercifully quiet one... but in recent days, it has grown loud, extraordinarily loud, the doors have opened once again, but the area around the Manor, as well as Delta, are now filled with the brim with horrific mischief!

All throughout Delta, haunting events are unfolding! The Dead and restless spirits roam the Earth once more, timelost objects from different time periods are littering the grounds, and those who come close are sent forwards and backwards in time, strange monsters and masked n'er-do-wellers have been spotted in the manor looking for a lost treasure , and most disturbingly, the ground has been rumbling. Matched with rumors of a wicked evil monster resting in the caverns beneath the Manor, Delta is in danger... and it's up to you to help it!

Throughout this event, focused in Delta, you will be given the option to help in four different ways, each with it's own unique feeling and level of danger!

You can simply stay in Delta, and help deal with it's growing undead problem, be it by helping spirits pass on, stick a stake through an vampire's heart, or simply just burying corpses back beneath the ground, every little bit helps! (Danger Level: Variable - Low)

If you opt to inspect the time-lost items scattering the grounds outside of the Manor, your muse will find themselves propelled backwards... or perhaps forward in time, to unearth the story behind this curio, but take care to not change the future... and who knows? Maybe you'll find a clue about what lurks beneath, or learn some local history by becoming part of it... (Inspired by Eternal Darkness, Danger Level: Medium-High)

Lately in Delta, there have been numerous monster sightings, and whispers and rumors of a lost treasure, deed to land, or a exceedingly shiny diamond, some people think they're real monsters, but perhaps they're just someone in a suit? You'll need to enter the manor itself to solve this mystery, but something tells you this may not be too bad... (Inspired by Scooby-Doo, Danger Level: Low)

Finally, within the bowels of the Creepy Manor lies its secret, something lurks deep within the basement and caverns, and it hungers to be seen and felt. People have gone missing, and whatever is down there may yet wake... you must set the stars wrong again, before all of Delta is in danger! (Inspired by: World of Horror, Call of Cthulhu. Danger Level: VERY HIGH)

Rewards: Helping (Or running!) any of the aforementioned prompts will reward anyone participating with Black Market Passes, Arcadia Tickets, as well as numerous Delta & Creepy themed items that can help (Or hinder!) your muse!

Delta's counting on you, all you need to do is face your fears and step into the mansion... if you're brave enough!

Elsternwick Winter Event: December - February 2025

As the Manor howls in anger, Winter's chill air begins to flow into the riverside town, bringing with it shorter days, and longer nights... and beautiful clear skies, giving you a perfect view of the starry night sky, and all the universes in the sky, it's beautiful... if you wish upon a star, maybe it will come true... or perhaps, something just might come to you! You'll find out in this very starry themed Winter to cap off 2024!

Hello, everyone! We hope you're having a great day and a wonderful Autumn & October! We just wanted to give you all a small update since it's been 3 months since our last update, sorry about that, we've been very busy in recent months!

The planned Master List update has been stalled but will hopefully be ready to be seen before the month is over!

Additionally, our Autumn/Halloween Event has begun, and our third Story related event to Elsternwick's History will be ready by next month!

We have a lot to talk about, but that'll be saved for a much bigger update, we just wanted to let you know all's well over here! <:

Sorry if you've been kept waiting for updates! Hopefully, with autumn and winter, we'll have a lot more free time and more to share with you!

Good afternoon, and hello to all members of Elsternwick, or those just joining us for a quick visit! We hope that your day is well! Sorry to keep you waiting on this update, we've been busy with quite a few plans! We're just going to get right into it!

Once again, it is our anniversary!

Elsternwick (re)opened its doors on March 11th 2021, and in the three years since then, we couldn't have imagined the outpouring of love, creativity, and amazing writing we have received since opening! It's been an amazing second year, and we're ready to enter the third year no matter what may happen!

Our second year introduced jobs and changes to the town (Including the loss of the maligned police station), the solidification of the Comedy points running gag into an actual system (With comedy themed comedy dungeons!), many new faces, and more than a few adventures involving emotions and alternate selves! We hope you enjoyed Emotions Run High and Dark Reflections!

There was quite a bit of seriousness to be seen, so this year, our events will hopefully have a little less stakes and more fun! We have a lot of work to do for our upcoming event, but we hope you'll look forward to them! We still have to figure them out, but hopefully they'll be lighthearted fun!

In addition, in the coming weeks, we'll be creating a Google Document Master List to better organize our list of muses, due to how confusing some of the muse lists can be on our end with Tumblr, we'll be sure to keep you updated on how it's going!

Lastly, as ever, whenever Elsternwick's anniversary rolls around, we have special activities planned and taking place!

This year, take place in the high(?) stakes Quiz Show run by the dapper skeleton Reynald in Reynald's Riveting Rapid Fire Quiz Show! You and your muses will be quizzed on various happenings from Elsternwick's past, with fabulous prizes for you, should you succeed!

As with last year, there will be various celebrations across town, from a masquerade ball, a special fair held at Arcadia Carnival, and a few returning faces across Elsternwick, be sure to be on the lookout for some old friends... and foes across town!

We hope you'll have fun... but that is not the only event that will take place!

Spring has come to Elsternwick, and with it, new life has been breathed into the town, all across the area, flowers and greenery are growing in abundance (after a mushroom has been slain, of course), brids are singing, rivers are flowing, everything is growing and full o flife... perhaps... too much life!

Plant life is growing out of control and becoming rowdy, wildlife is getting bold and entering town, rivers are positively overflowing with water and fish, and of course, Spring Court Faeries are wandering into town to seek mischief, you'll need to be on guard, things might just get a little chaotic in our Spring Event, which is yet to be named!

It will run until the beginning of June, and will start once a certain encounter has been cleared!

We hope you'll look forward to that as well!

And finally, as you may know, tomorrow is April Fools Day! As with last year, we will have a light hearted little joke that will take place throughout the day starting at midnight, we hope you'll have a rootin' tootin' time if you're here for it!

We were also going to have a muse list update in this post, but there's already a lot to take in, so for now, we'll keep it as this!
