For the past few days I've been spending time in the little Colorado country town of Paonia. I was invited to give talks and live paint at the Visionary Summit, and have been doing an Artist Residency at Elsewhere Studios. We hosted our 2nd Parent Residency during July where 4 parent creatives and their families attended a free 10-day residency with a generous stipend made possible thanks to @sustainablearts. We had an incredible cohort of artists: @mae.ramirez.mae @kaylanbuteyn @leenowellwilson @crackingopen and @thebaronessvon. We had a full month of artist presentations, a live podcast recording for @artistmotherpodcast, a zine-making workshop and more! The kids-in-residence also had the opportunity to present their artwork- ranging from drawings, to home-made films. We are so excited to be able to host this opportunity for a third year! That call is open now and the deadline is December 17th. We will be hosting a virtual information session discussing the structure of the residency and application process on December 6th, 5PM mountain time.
