❄️🎄Prog Christmas Party Imagines🎄❄️:
Yes: Chris hosts and invites everyone. Steve brings a vegan dish that no one eats and then leaves early because he got overstimulated. Jon is following Chris around and fussing with his decorations. Alan is quietly enjoying himself by the fire wearing a cozy sweater. Rick brings his own food (curry), and makes crude jokes most of the time.
Genesis: Phil corners one person while drunk and infodumps about the Alamo all night to them, after playing a round of darts and acting relatively normal for a while, of course. Mike shows up high and eats half of the food. He also leaves early. Tony gets dragged there by Peter, and sits in a corner the entire time, overstimulated and NOT having a holly jolly time. Steve is making small talk to everyone and then chilling by the fire with Alan. Peter comes dressed up as Santa and hangs out with Fripp most of the night.
ELP: All of them coincidentally brought the same bottle of wine and they all start bickering over that. Carl gets sick of their shit and leaves early. Keith spends the rest of the evening avoiding Greg and hanging out with Rick (and stealing his curry). Greg spends the rest of the evening telling anyone who would listen what happened.
King Crimson: Fripp is there to project an Evil Aura, but he’s actually sitting and chilling by the fire with Steve and Alan and Peter. Bill doesn’t show up. Jamie also doesn’t show up. David Cross shows up but has to take a Xanax in the bathroom or whatever they had in the 70s because he’s Anxious. John is talking to everyone and being the life of the party… and drinking a little too much.
Dropping Advision Apparitions, Chapter One.
Bands: ELP, Yes.
Chapter Synopsis: Strange occurrences are happening while ELP is trying to record. At the end of the chapter, Keith decides to investigate whether Yes are also having odd and disruptive experiences.
CW: Brief drug use
Rating: Teen (language)

Can you imagine how different prog would be if Chris Squire jumped ship from Yes in 1969 and joined E[]P over Greg Lake??? Because he was Keith Emerson’s first pick and he chose to stay with Yes…..
Genuinely don’t get how people on reddit don’t like ELP. You don’t like funny synth weewoo noises? You don’t like fucking BLAZING piano skills?

The song of the night is ABSOLUTELY ELP’s version of Hoedown. I forgot how fucking HARD this goes
HIPGNOSIS did the Trilogy cover???? Did they get the fuckin intern to paint it 😭😭😭😭
Now I’m just thinking about the sheer amount of YESELP shared lore. Like do they know about the Ireland trip? Or about Chris and Greg living together? Or about the hammond on The Yes Album? Or working in Advision together? Do they know that Keith actually approached Chris first to be in ELP? Or the sheer amount of times Yes asked Keith to be their keyboardist (hint: more than once)? WHAT ABOUT SWITZERLAND. DO THEY KNOW ABOUT SWITZERLAND? ???
It literally haunts me like. The music media tried to paint them as rivals but they were basically The Same Band with the amount of time they were spending with each other
