Due to Reasons, I am trying to determine if Kirk always wears the relatively full-coverage foundation we see in "Enemy Within", or if he has something a bit lighter on sometimes, esp. later in the series. sometimes I feel like my eyeballs are going to fall out trying to determine this with Science and by Science it's just me watching late-s3 episodes on repeat

It's my opinion that he generally does! The lighting and cinematography does take a hit after the sacrifices to the budget and departure of Jerry Finnerman in early S3, as does Kirk's styling and illumination in some ways, so while it's not as obviously shiny, he's still got that heavy glossy foundation-etc look going on in S3 episodes as far apart as "And the Children Shall Lead":

"Turnabout Intruder":

this is absolutely tangential but the only TOS-cast-media support I can think of for Kirk having allergies is that he's allergic to Retinax, an eye medication used to treat age-related vision problems, in TWOK.

Can't lie, it'd be kind of incredible to me if the whole allergies thing projected backwards onto TOS Kirk in some wild link with his experience as a genocide survivor came from the film that tries to convince us TOS Kirk has never seriously encountered unavoidable loss or death before and has spent his whole life thinking he could avoid no-win scenarios forever if he was ingenious and determined enough.

Wait, when is it said all the 9 are male? I've seen this episode recently, and definitely did not recall that, and I can't find any indication of it in the transcript.
