did a painting of @elliejaybird's character Amity Blackbird and some sketches. really cool worldbuilding in this original universe!
Hello again, if you're still up for drawing Hunters Unlucky characters, I would be interested to see your take on any of the curbs. I found their species very interesting, despite the minimal physical description.
Hunters Unlucky requests are always open!
My original take on the curbs were a tan and foxlike Tasmanian devil. I checked with the author, and she told me that, yes, they're basically thylacines!
So here, have a worried looking curb, in honour of the colour footage that was released for the 85th anniversary of the last thylacine's death. I like to think that they live on on Lidian.
As for highland vs. lowland curbs. The main morphological difference is that the former lack a proper pouch, according to the source material.
I think it would be fun to give them some variation in size and colour, though. Perhaps highland curbs could be smaller, shaggier or have colourations that make them blend in better in a mountainous environment? I'm not sure there are any marsupials with seasonal coat colours, so that could be a fun thing to explore as well.
I would love to see your take on curbs! They are among my favourite species on Lidian. Social, tool-using thylacines. What's not to love?

I’m incredibly excited to be a contributor to the sixth volume of @almostrealzine ! I look forward to sharing my platform-hopping bipedal reptiles and the relationship between them and their ambulatory vegetable(?) prey! I put a little bit of all of my favorite creature design things into my entry and I seriously can’t wait for you guys to see it.
Hop on the kickstarter to support all the amazing artists involved and enjoy yourself some spec bio inspired by pop culture!
Hunters Unlucky Size Chart
Redrew the creature lineup I drew *checks watch* four years ago. Here’s all the animals featured in the size chart at the beginning of the book, with a focus on staying true to their canon sizes and designs, even though I really wanted to give the sea snakes little seal ears.
Juniper and Sol
I haven’t drawn these guys together in years.
