I didn’t study literature so I don’t understand about this:
If I write something like “XX—“
Do you notice how the “ after — is not ” but “ ??
(Idk if it’s a rule in writing or what—I just love em dashes to use in an interrupted dialogue/inner thought.. I thought it was an autocorrect in my phone but no. It keeps happening.)
Ack idk how to say it but I’m sure some of writers already know it but am I not supposed to put — before “ or what?
I want to ask my sister but she’s scary these days—she’s on her cycle I just can’t get an answer without a whiplash or two 🙈🖤
