As the teacher explained the upcoming project, Fiona inwardly groaned. She was definitely not looking forward to this one; in fact, the class in question was her least favorite. The girl could only hope that she would get someone good as a partner. As Ms. Layton begun to list off partners, Fiona listened for her name.
"Fiona Coyne will be paired with..." Ms. Layton began, looking down at the list she had on her desk."Eli Goldsworthy." The brunette's heart dropped, as she pulled a face. Anyone but him, she thought to herself. The two had never gotten along, at all. They were always trading insults in class, or whenever they could. They had to work together before, but this was different. This project required them to take care of a fake baby together for about a month. They'd have to figure out a schedule for taking care of the thing, otherwise they'd fail. And Fiona couldn't afford another bad grade.
After they were told to talk over things with their partner, Fiona stayed in her seat making him come to her. Figuring he'd get the hint, she took out her phone to check her messages as she waited.
