#eli rant

eli was in a good place, things were fine with his relationship - well aside from the asher thing, it was as fine as it could be. and i'm not saying that as some annoying eclare stan, i'm just saying in general, he was just fine. he was still being paranoid and quick to jump to conclusions, but you know, i really don't expect much from eli anymore. but back on point.

eli was developed. he was in a good place, and finding cam, it was just really bad on the writers part.

if eli were to graduated without finding cam, regardless if eclare was endgame or not, he would have been that character who had an ending he deserved. it would have been happy, a bit bittersweet, you know typical character graduation stuff.

but finding cam brought eli back to s10/s11 eli, and that's stupid. like eli is going to graduate, and i don't want him to have a happy ending. i don't feel like he deserves nyu. i don't think he deserves clare. i don't think he should have been allowed access to the school after taking acid and streaking.

but eli gets away with this shit, and as a fan of him, it pisses me off. i love it when my favorite characters get consequences! not getting any consequences for shit that in REAL LIFE would have you on your ass faster than you could blink is bullshit! and i know i'm not the only one pissed off by this, because i think a lot of people have come to see that eli has been getting the emma nelson treatment since season 10 when he crashed his damn hearse, and it never ended.

where was the plot about bull frog and cece's raise in auto insurance? all state isn't that forgiving!

did eli almost hurt someone crashing morty?

what did he destroy?

and then love roulette as a whole where it defaced clare's name, and caused her emotional distress and was just blatantly cruel in the beginning, who the hell knows how it was in the end. and then setting the script on fire and not even getting a measly detention for it. if anyone of us did that shit. any of it. PICK ONE FROM S11 ALONE THAT ELI DID and we would be expelled and if not that then suspended and if not that then the slap on the wrist of a detention.

and then we come full circle, and eli blames clare for how he feels because he saw cam's dead body, and she thought he should talk like he forced her to with asher! like i mean, where does eli get off? ooh he's buying a fucking horse-drawn carriage and dressing up like a prince, and everything is okay??? what about a sorry? where is consideration for how CLARE feels? it's not all about eli and i hate how they're saying as long as you're super duper hot everything works out for the best because you're you!

like i just can't even with this show right now!
