i’m glad you asked!

in the case of new year’s, it’s not just gonna be sil/lole and i hanging out, because i’ll also have dear giorgia @elfikisses (along with, possibly, lole’s mother and igor the cat… we’ll see how things shape up)

but i have spent days hanging out with sil and lole, just the three of us, and i’ve never once felt like a third wheel! so i’d like to examine that

honestly, i think it’s them. they’re just quite wonderful at always making you feel included and valued. i’ve been the middle of several cuddle piles and it’s been wonderful.

this was kind of novel for me, honestly! i have an extensive history of being that single friend, third wheeling or even fith wheeling sometimes. i’ve had several friends ditch me for boyfriends.

i’m not sure how they do it - i know they make a conscious effort though, because we’ve often talked about it. i know they tone down pda a little bit (that’s not to say there’s none, as i mentioned they’re super cuddly) but i’m not sure what else specifically?

the thing is, we’ve always had really, really good communication, as friends, so that’s worked out quite well for all of us i think.

(i could cite a very specific example but that’s going a bit into our private relationship *ominous mysterious music*)
