Honestly?
I blame all the amazing people surrounding me. All the wonderful friends that I’ve met on Balmung and beyond. The personalities and characters I’ve been able to learn about, to read and play through their amazing stories and the infinitely creative people behind them. I’ve been so lucky for each and every one, and I’m so happy each day to look at my dash or timeline or whatever else and see them, to interact with them online or in-game and it brings me such joy.

Silly question but what was Kiri's first impression of Hien?
It’s not silly at all!! I love thinking about it!
With so much talk of the ‘prince of Doma’ this or ‘prince of Doma’ that, the mental image of this supposed young lord was something far more akin to Aymeric. Handsome with soft features and a charismatic smile. While Hien certainly fits that criteria, she was still surprised by his rough appearance. Obvious scars, an unshaven face. Definitely not how she envisioned a prince.
As for his character, she put a lot of faith into Yugiri and Gosetsu. They both held Hien in such high regards she felt her trust would not be misplaced. However, this lord of Doma still surprises her. He was charming but not in an overbearing, deliberate manner like some high class socialites would be. His eyes and words always felt genuine; especially when he became excited for advancements to liberating Doma, there was a light in his eyes that reminded Kirishimi of a child. Even with things seemingly at odds with their plans, Hien was always remarkably optimistic yet retained a lot of reality when coming up with decisions and plans.
Overall, a prince who often surprises her. It was his energy that attracted her the most.
The beginning of Stormblood is an incredibly difficult time for Kirishimi. Her nightmares are getting worse and the incident at the Wall only proved to strain her further. Not to mention several failed confrontations with Zenos really has her second guessing her own strength. But after meeting Hien, who always seems to know how to make her smile, a bit of the tension starts to fade and Kiri becomes a bit more of her typical self again. She has a lot to go through by herself, thoughts to sort out, but having that little distraction, even for a few minutes, really helps to bring her around.
