Welcome to the wonderful word of WEPA (World Elephant Polo Association)! Haven't heard of it?
Weird.
Basically it's big-time, top-shot, rich-white and boss-snob people wacking a ball with 2 meter long sticks from the back of tourist-stricken pachyderms.
What happens is that people like the WEPA spokesperson, the Duke of Argyll (of the sweater variety?), fly to India/Nepal/Thailand, pick out an elephant and mahout (mahouts are elephant #besties, fun fact: many of them allegedly don't speak english) and play a very slow version of polo in an effort to go the Tiger Tops, which apparently is a very prestigious competition in Nepal.
