I never advised anyone to not get therapy? Read my response again. I advised them to get therapy. I just also pointed out that some people don’t do well in therapy because, surprise, people are all different and have different needs. I don’t think I’m wrong for saying that. It’s also incredibly irresponsible to assume therapy is a viable option for everyone. I’m trying to take into consideration everyone’s unique situations, and I realize therapy is not always an option. For those who cannot attend therapy, having sources for them here is incredibly helpful and potentially life-saving. But I guess that makes me a bad person now? Awesome.
Everyone needs and deserves help, and that help can come in multiple forms.

Ugh, one of my best friends was just so fucking pretentious about his meat-eater point of view, omfg. Ugh. Just ugh. It’s so hard having to hear your friends shit dribble like that. It takes so much strength and energy to deal with. The amount of times I’ve heard the “Each to their own” or “Live and let live” lines is astounding. Sorry you had to listen to that, especially from your best friend!

i live my life pretty stealth. Right now it's difficult because i'm living in my home town and too many people already know me. Like i have to realize that anyone new i make friends with is going to meet someone i know eventually and they'll figure it out one way or another. Aside from doctors and anyone i'm dating, i don't see why anyone has to know. It's none of my landlord's or boss's or anyone else's business. I 'pass' perfectly fine so really it should be a non-issue. It's just plain too dangerous and too stressful to be out.
