I deadass passed away when you messaged me omfg! 💕 I hope it's not cringe to say this but I was binge-reading your blog with another account and it inspired me to start my own writing blog! Also, I'm so in love with your writings, I literally read them 100 times (Elendilf is having us all in a chokehold and I can't complain 💀).
Note: This is my first headcanon and I hope you like it! I tried to write in order but it just came over me and I was utterly lost in an Elendilf trance. So I think I kind of mixed up a dating/as a lover headcanon but I really really hope you still enjoy it! 💕 Please feel free to request more if you have anything you would like to read! 💕

🌙 Elendil Dating Headcanons 🌙
Since the passing of his wife, he didn't believe that he will fall in love again
I am a firm believer that he is the kind of man to fall in love at first sight
He loved his first wife with all of his heart and I’m assuming that he loved her from the second they met
So, the first time he laid eyes on you his whole world changed
He tried to shake his feelings off because he felt guilt towards his first wife
But soon after your first meeting, his dreams were always about you. His chest would ache in the morning when he realized that you were only holding him in his dreams
And because he couldn’t get rid of this feeling he started talking to you more and you two also ate dinner together from time to time
It took him some time but as soon as he realized that he needs to stay true to his feelings he would officially ask you if he can court you (of course you said yes!)
He might be a captain that got shaped by the roughness of the sea but he would be so soft towards you omfg
Your number one supporter! No matter what you do he will always cheer your on
Will catch you when you fall - literally and metaphorically
He might seem calm and reasonable most of the time but when you are in danger or someone is trying to hurt you, he will go full rage mode and protect you/will fight for you
he will SMOTHER you in affection (and you love it!)
He will give you nicknames like „my little star“ or „my moonlight“
The first thing you see in the morning is Elendil covering your mouth with kisses
After that, he will tell you how much he loves you and that you are the most beautiful being he has ever seen
If he had to get up early in the morning, he will make sure to hug you tightly when he comes back and place a thousand kisses on your forehead
When he has to travel somewhere, he will always come back with a gift for you
likes to spoil you with gifts that have a special meaning to him. For example a map of the star constellation you saw together on one of your dates. Or a necklace in the shape of your favourite flower
but what he really loves doing is doing things together:
Going for walks when the sun sets, watching the stars and him showing you the constellations of the different stars, MAKING SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO SWIM (I’m sorry)
One night when you both look up to the sky he will show you a star constellation that he named after you
Every time when he is gone you have to look up to the sky and search for those stars, so even when you’re not together you are still looking at the same night sky
He is very keen on marrying you since he is afraid someone might try to steal you (as if someone could compare to Elendilf) also he is low-key possessive
In fact, the first time you kissed you had to promise him that you will marry him someday
Of course, you said yes, because his kisses made you weak
They can be gentle and soft but sometimes it feels like a storm is coming over you when his lips press hard against yours and his beard is scratching on your chin
He would never admit it but he is scared of losing you like he lost his first wife. That’s why he makes sure you feel loved at all times!
