As an aro ace I can confirm that you can still want and/or be in traditionally romantic relationships. Aro just explains how you perceive love, not how deep a bond you can form with another individual(s) or what kind of commitments you want to make to them. It depends on what fabric you want to make exactly, but basically you use a loom, and yes you can make it yourself. Until recently everyone made their own clothes.
