pls just yap abt ink x finch like one of my favs ā¼ļø
You donāt know how much joy they bring me.
āā¦. A bit of my personal yapping; As much as I love ds ships and enjoy their different concepts, I can never see them ever happening in the ācanon dsā BUT one of the only ships that breaks the pattern is paintedwings⦠which means they get special treatment from me.
The more I think about Finchās role the more I realize that at some point, Ink must felt his role suited Finch more (ofc thatās also influenced by the others) but he simply watched him instead, wanting to see if Finch did anything that would help him improve since Finch was more used to the whole being in charge thing. Less to say, Ink learned so much about Finch that he was constantly reminded of him. Finch likes a certain coffee brand? Congrats, Ink will now have a whole montage of Finch the second he sees it in the store. For many, remembering people youāre constantly with isnāt odd but Ink was remembering Finch in his free time which is a big deal.
As for Finch, heās realized from the start Ink seemed to have communication issues and while others found him and his ideas weird, Finch always took a breath in and tried to make sense of Inkās opinions (no shocker that they made sense because Ink thinks logically with almost no morality) which caused Finch to be āannoyingā to Ink because once Ink said something, Finch would politely press for details to understand the other and so he got to learn more about Ink which ended up making him slightly admire him; only Dream seemed and the therapist the two are forced to see seemed to notice. ā¦ā
Now onto the lil things about em;
ā¦Ink is actually an amazing gift giver, like itās shocking how good he is (some even find it creepy) which means to try and keep up with his seemingly mind reading bf, Finch finds himself spending hours looking for a gift that Ink may like⦠if he fails to find something, he orders him food which is better than any gift (according to Ink)
ā¦Finch and Ink both need medication. They keep each otherās medication in their offices and always on them incase the other comes around and needs it.
ā¦Ink and Finch both speak sign language (it was a requirement) and they also speak morse code; they end up using those ways of communicating when itās not suited to talk (if they can be heard but not seen, if they need to discuss during meetingsā¦)
ā¦Finchās first language is Arabic and Inkās first languages are Italian and French; they both had to speak English fluently at a young age but while Finch worked on his active and passive vocabulary, Ink only worked on his passive.
ā³Ink is not ashamed to admit Finch is generally better than him at English and sometimes when he reads his messages or even listens to him, he finds himself taken aback by the words because those arenāt common to hear (he might not admit it but it always amazed him and he feels an odd weird bubbly feeling in him he canāt explain)
ā³Finch at times will ask Ink what a word means due to him forgetting it (Ink answers like a machine)
ā¦Ink doesnāt play the flute often but when he does, Finch tries to not move an inch because he doesnāt what to make a noise and stop the other from playing.
ā¦The two enjoy being in the otherās presence, the comforting silence between them is worth a thousand dates.
ā¦Ink likes being close to Finch, he finds that Finch has wonderful perfume and never overdoes it.
ā¦Finch realized how much Ink stared at the ceiling to clear his mind so he got him glow in the dark stars to decorate the ceiling ( Ink has never loved staring at his ceiling more)
