doctor, can you go over how electro stimulation works and what it feels like? why pick it over other methods like manual stimulation? I'm so curious!

Of course! It’s always smart to be informed of all your treatment methods. Let’s start at the beginning, manual stimulation is as it sounds, manually, with my hands or sometimes tools such as dilators, stimulating a patient often to climax but not always. It just depends on the nature of their treatment.
Now onto electro stimulation. Have you ever seen or used a TENS unit? The name is an acronym for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation which consists of two or more electrodes connected to an electrical unit that sends electrical impulses through targeted muscles which causes a contraction. A TENS unit is often used for pain management. What we do for electro stimulation is very similar and uses the same technology. What we have at the clinic is just a bigger version of the machine you might use at home for back pain. There’s a variety of different electrode probes we can use, in fact I have a picture with a handful of examples I will post along with this as a visual aid.
As for what electro stimulation feels like; When you use a tens unit it feels like a tingling sensation, it should be just below what is painful and often as you go about your day you don’t notice the sensation as much. The sensation in electro stimulation is about the same but it feels quite different when applied to such sensitive areas. What might feel like a mild tingle to your back is much different inside your vagina or rectum. It’s a much stronger sensation that many say is confusing, they think they don’t like the sensation yet it can produce very effective orgasms. There’s a variety of reasons I might decide on electro stimulation for a patient. It offers a stronger and more aggressive climax. It tends to happen quicker and it’s much easier when many climaxes are needed in a row. It can be tiring to for the treating physician to force 15 consecutive orgasms out of a patient with just one’s own hands. Electro stimulation frees the Doctor up to sit back and work on charting or other cooccurring treatments while he monitors the patient on the table. Electro stimulation affords a more consistent and predictable pattern of stimulation which also makes it a better option in research. There’s many more variables to account for when a Doctor preforms manual stimulation on a patient, how large are his fingers? Does his technique change slightly as his hands tire? The way one Doctor moves his hands for a similar manual stimulation procedure could be much different than another’s. Electro stimulation had a beautiful consistency! 
Electro stimulation is a truly wonderful tool to have at our disposal. Many patients find it very beneficial to their treatment.
