A very unique song with a distinctive, almost hypnotic vibe and a magical mixture of vintage elements going hand in hand with modern songwriting and production.

The music we are creating is about love and lust at first sight. It is about being in love with, or very attracted to, a powerful person or force. The subject is almost vampiric in its qualities, so the song is about being completely captivated by someone's light and shade and the depth that we can find in one another.

I think we initially launched into it intending to write something fun, dirty, and moshable, however, as is ALWAYS the case in Electric Enemy, a message found its way in. Love comes in all shapes and sizes, sometimes it's Hallmark and sometimes it's a badass in a leather jacket.

Right now we are very excited about the EP schedule to come in March. "Sweet Tooth" will be part of it. And we are working on our debut album to come later this year or early next year. Yes, we are going to have a new video for "Sweet Tooth", too! To be released simultaneously on Jan 27th. We plan to play a lot of shows in 2022, but at the moment only short-term planning seems to be possible due to Covid.

About the Band...

As well as releasing for his band, singer James ‘Jim’ Lawton also uses his talents in many different songwriting and production projects with prominent UK and US artists (including Daft Punk collaborator Todd Edwards' 2021 release 'My Angel') and also collaborated on Example's album 'Some Nights Last For Days', to which he contributed production and songwriting.

Electric Enemy appeal to everyone from the juvenile Millenial who has begun to search for her way in life to the long-time Brit-Rock fan who has heard almost everything before, those who demand from music not only quality and authenticity but songs they can revel in and relate to. 

Their live shows are powerful and showcase a band with the energy and talent to conquer the world. In 2019, long-time head curator John Giddings invited them to open the main stage at the Isle Of Wight Festival. They’ve now emerged from the starting blocks of the enforced Corona break and resumed touring. Looking ahead in the calendar there are the (rescheduled) support shows with Bang Bang Romeo to come, more headline & supports shows, and festival appearances in 2022. 

Jim's voice has a distinctive sound with an incredible range and gathers around him a well-coordinated band with chemistry that feels truly 'electric'. Such an almost magical power to combine real songs with compelling melodies and the dynamics of all emotions has - unfortunately - been heard far too rarely over the last few years. So it's all the more special to see one of these rare gems enter the big stage again with Electric Enemy. Rock with a mission - it still exists and it’s here.

With their previous releases, Electric Enemy started to build an ever-growing community of fans and supporters who already helped the band to become a new member of the ‘millionaires club’ with so far two songs achieving 7 digit streams on the streaming portals. 

'Sweet Tooth’ is the fourth single from a series of releases that will combine to form an EP release coming in March 2022. Meanwhile, the band continues working on many more songs to choose from for their highly anticipated debut album.
