tentative disagree..... given that Spectre and Faust were both ravaged by the same darkness, though not to the same degree as Ghost Girl and Blood Shepherd, I think it’s pretty obvious they copped the same ending. And didn’t Kusanagi say that they were defeated by Ai?

Yeah, sure, it’s disappointing that we didn’t get any insight into those duels, but what’s done is done. Spectre’s VA got really busy all of a sudden and given that this is his first anime role, it’s no wonder he might not be interested in pursuing it over his more familiar acting roles; though, that’s just my understanding of the bits and pieces I’ve heard. For now, I’m happy to live with a “rushed” arc and coming up with theories and fanon for what happened inside it.
