SO FAR JON’S certain that he likes the Riverlands the least. He’s lived in the North for so long that he’s used to the snow, but r a i n is something else entirely and it seems like all it does is rain here. Sometimes he wishes that he’d brought an umbrella or something, but given how nothing ever seems to last he’s certain an umbrella probably would have broken on him before even had a chance to use one. He pulls a face, feeling more like he’s six rather than sixteen as droplets pelt against his skin. But rain is the least of his concerns right now as he eyes the great rivers that gave this region its name. Vast bodies of water that he might have easily mistaken for lakes if it weren’t for how quick and dangerous the currents moved. “Now what?” He knows the answer. They’ll have to go the long way around if they want to cross, there’s supposed to be a bridge somewhere, but he’ll be damned if actually knows where. He turns to his travelling companion, seemingly as soaked but he doubts she’s as MISERABLE as he feels at the moment. “I think the bridge is supposed to be west of here.”

Margaery attempts to skype Dacey every day while she’s gone. (While these skype calls start off innocent they end as anything but.)
Margaery gets a dog to keep her busy while her girlfriend’s away. She name’s the dog, “Bear.”
Dacey surprises Margaery by coming home on her birthday. (A surprise she’s rewarded for.)
Margaery brings back the craft of letter’s and pictures sending a five-page letter and a few pin-up-esque pictures for fun.
When Dacey does come back, Margaery doesn’t let her leave their bed for a week.
there was nothing jon despised more than pretentious family events, even more so when they involved seemingly every family friend the starks had made over the years–– and the starks had befriended nearly the entire northern providence. that meant the hall they had rented out for the night was full of vaguely familiar faces that occasionally said their niceties before barely turning their backs to whisper about him.
not like he wasn’t used to as much. apparently being the product of an affair never stopped being an interesting topic of discussion–– even twenty four years later.
an hour into the event and he was already moving passed buzzed and into a well needed state of drunkenness when he recognized one of the only truly friendly faces; dacey mormont.
robb must not have known she was here, his brother not filling her ear with never-ending stories about himself or whatever pick-up lines he somehow thought were effective. “hey”, jon nodded at her, bringing his glass to his lips to shield the words. “is this awful, or completely unbearable? i can’t quite come to a decision”.

“I think it’s far TOO LATE for me to learn to yield a sword, don’t you?” She questioned, lithe fingers gliding over the engraved pommel of a sword SAFELY tucked away in its scabbard. “I’m nearing three and thirty . . .”

when brandon had come back from the rebellion alive, ned had never thought he would end up here. he never thought of what would happen to him afterwards. a part of ned had believed he would have perished like many of the other men but it seemed that everyone else fell instead of him. their lives were on his shoulders, the memories still fresh as he seemed to grow accustomed to the new life on bear island after the arranged marriage to dacey mormont.
it wasn’t a typical match, it wasn’t a typical northern home either. while they were in the north, ned wasn’t entirely sure how he was going to grow accustomed to it. woman could fight just as well as him, they donned armor and even his newly wed wife seemed to prefer breachers to actual dresses. yet, he stayed quiet, finding comfort in the small godswood.
“do you often come to the godswood?” ned asked as he watched dacey walk towards him where he sat ‘neath the tree.

@eldestshebear arranged marriage starter
Jon felt beyond nervous as he moved off of the boat and onto the docks. He was unsure as to why his father even thought this a good idea. What had surprised Jon even more, was the fact the Mormonts had agreed... Jon was a Snow, they knew that... did they not see the offering of him as an insult of some kind? He knew that Lady Stark often vocalized that offering bastards to heirs was oft seen as a slight... Why had his father not just sent him to the wall as he had already started to ask... after the boat he had decided he much rather he had went to the Wall to fight along side Benjen.
Never had he been on a boat, and never did he want on another one... The bastard of Winterfell hardly looked the best as he stumbled onto the solid docks, half tempted to kiss the ground beneath him for not moving every second. He knew that the fact his stomach had been turning every moment of the voyage had not been helpful to his nervousness... Especially when he thought of what would happen if the engagement did not pan out, he would be back on yet another boat... By all the nameless old Gods he prayed he never had to set foot on a boat again... While he was thinking of the dreaded boat, he did not notice the approach of Mormont women...
He must have looked pathetic, kneeling on the ground like he wanted to be sick... and the young direwolf pup with him looked near as bad... Ghost had not done well on the journey either... He looked up at the sound of foot steps on the wood of the docks and felt himself flush in embarasment as a stout woman and a younger, tall woman came towards him... Neither looked very impressed...
