Sometimes I really do regret deleting all my fanfics that were from pre 2017 because honestly there was some gold in them that, with teaking would be much better. For example:
- My first fanfic I wrote at the age of 9 after watching Frozen for the first time where Kristoff and Anna had runaway children (not a good example of something good, but I would have kept it now, looking back, for nostalgia reasons and to see how far Iâve come as a writer)
2016 was my biggest year of fanfic writing so:
- That bombass fanfic I wrote where it was an AU Hunger Games where Effie was originally from District 12 and competed in the 2nd Quarter Quell, faking her death before running to the Capitol (because obviously she canât return home, people think sheâs dead) and turning into what she becomes (THIS one I will actually rewrite because all I really needed were the basic ideas from it and honestly?? Rewriting it four years later sounds really good)
- This one super long Tinkerbell fanfic (my second longest fanfic at the time. First was aforementioned HG fanfic at 12k words which is like, three chapters in terms of what I write now??)
- This AMAZING Cinderella fanfic I had where it started from where Ella was taken by Henry to the palace (Henry is the name Disney Channel France gave Prince Charming fyi), including Anastasiaâs reformation
- The first EOA and Moana fanfics I published on Wattpad (because I would honestly like to know how the two of them got 14k and 7k views respectively)
BUT I do thank myself dearly for keeping the majority of fanfics I wrote from 2017 onward because now I have:
- All old drafts of the Willow-Violet Series
And I can rewrite:
- That fanfic I posted to Wattpad once upon a time in 2017 called âA Bond That Canât Be Brokenâ. It was an EOA fanfic where Elena was forced to amrry upon becoming Queen and back then I thought she would be Queen at 18. Now sheâs Queen at 20 and there would be SO much more tension if/when I rewrite it because I ship Elateo not Gabelena anymore and Elateo have SO MUCH MORE history
- Stories From the EverRealm (which will commence sometime after I finish WV and all my Frozen fics which include Rebuild, Overthrow and >>>
- >>> Experiences which is my modern crossover AU for Frozen and ROTG
I will say the downside to all of this is I can only ever focus on one fandom at a time which is why everything takes so long to do.
