By now you have gotten accustomed to your boyfriend hectic and demanding schedule of being a formula one star, who hadn’t gotten accustomed to it however was your 9 months old daughter.

You knew that it would be hard to follow Lando out to Bahrain for the testing with Charlotte, even if he begged for days on end, saying how then you could celebrate your birthday together as a family, but being cautious of Charlotte you still said you’d be fine and you don’t want to overwhelm the biggest gift in your life.

So with a heavy heart, Lando left his family home when one of the most important days was happening.

You smile as you open the door to the nursery. “Good morning sunshine” you sing softly walking over to the crib, giggling as little Char coo’s at you, attempting to lift her arms in the swaddle.

Picking her up and changing her had never been an issue, she was such an happy baby, but there always was tears when you moved to the living room area to make breakfast and she would discover her daddy was nowhere to be found..

“I know little star, daddy will be home soon, just us girls on mommy’s big day” You’d attempt to soothe her while feeding her from the bottle, miraculously it worked this time.

By the time you had finished your own breakfast, placed Charlotte down for tummy time and begun watching reality television, the doorbell rang. Confused you’d pick Char up and place her in the playpen for safety before making your way to the door, opening it to find a delivery man, holding a huge bouquet mixed with flowers and romance books as well as a box of chocolates and a tiny stuffed bunny toy.

“Delivery for Miss Y/n?” The man asks from behind the array of gifts.

Already knowing exactly what was going on, you held back a laughter.

“This is she” You smile taking the things and setting them down on the hallway table before signing the paper confirming of the delivery.

You say good day to the delivery man as you close the door before taking things to the kitchen, walking over to pick Charlotte up and bringing her to the kitchen to examine the gifts very obviously left by Lando.

“Look what daddy sent us” You smile handing her the bunny toy before picking up a card from the bouquet.

“Even if you’re not with me i want you to have the best day today. Because to me it is the most important day (don’t tell Char I said that. Her birth is also very important to me) I love you both with all my heart, my sun and my little star- Lando”

“Daddy sure loves us doesn’t he Char” You look at her in your arms, Charlotte already having one of the bunnies ears in her mouth.
