Edvard Munch’s worker motifs from Ekely: After a rough period in his life, Munch settled down and bought his forever home in 1916. Ekely in Oslo was a never-ending source of inspiring images, and Munch no longer had to travel to find his motifs. The property became his artistic haven and the need for a large Winter Studio became clear. After Munch’s passing, Ekely has become an important place for the art-community in Oslo.
