This design is inspired by Gijinka D.B/Dirty Bubble designed by @ejsmith145
I drew Mr Charlie Bubble as a head canon persona back when D.B worked as the mascot of the soap company(from SpongeBob SquarePants episode ”Delivery of Doom”). The colors of his clothes and cane are also taken inspiration from the soap bottles in Dirty Bubble’s filming set stage.
Designing him, I’ve thought he’d be more of a vintage themed mascot and made his outfit be more inspired from the 1950s. His round bubblewand ring glasses is also to tie the connection to his original voice actor; Charlie Nelson Reilly(just like in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode ”Delivery of Doom”).
How he’d perform in those commercials, I think it would be more whimsical and fun, he’d have types of performance and singing as Willy Wonka from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory(a classic), hence the bubble wand cane. And the idea of a bowler hat and bow tie got me thinking and take inspiration from Hanna Barbara’s Magilla Gorilla(from the classics and Jellystone).
I hope this artwork, sources and inspirations might good enough, since it has been a long while since I’ve drawn and posted on Tumblr, so I might be a little bit rusty. If my artwork ends up offending anybody, I apologize, even if it’s unintentional. I just wanted to get my head canon of this bubble’s persona while working as the actor for a mascot of a soap company from a Nickelodeon show.
