Fic-ly Friday (5/25/12)
Well, I've been on the road, and I wasn't going to do this, but frankly, one whole year to have been sitting on this has been too long, and I need to stop the fuck angsting and just move on.
I've been really jittery about this one. It started out as a fairly step-by-step depiction of an SS interrogation, but I decided that I preferred fantasy for being less mind fuck-y, and more enjoyable to write (also not making me hate the characters, which is a big plus). So I scrapped that, added magic, employed my special brand of violence on characters and voila. I am still not fond of it. This another one of those sections where the personal story and the history didn't play well together.
The next section of Eight Men is up.
Warning: Intense eye trauma. Really, this is a chapter about Prussia and Norway brutalizing each other for the sake of violence. That's it.
