Guess anyone besides Shane. In the games there are rules to breeding. That a Pokémon would have their mother’s form, but there father’s attacks. Here I understand about getting some of the father’s traits, but. I guess I’m asking how does making eggs work here?

As far as eggs from parents of different evolutionary families go, it’ll always alternate. The kid will have some attributes of both parents in their appearance and can be born knowing moves from either parent, assuming their species can learn those moves. So, like, if Shane and I had kids, our first egg could hatch into an eevee that, say, had a white chest plume instead of a cream-colored one. Then our next egg may hatch into an ice vulpix that has pink feet instead of lime-green feet.
