Even so, a nice walk at dusk with Winston never hurt anyone, itās good for the pair of you to get out (as if you havenāt been getting enough fresh air), but as he zips into the bushes, the last thing you expect to see when you go over to investigate is him tugging a femur bone from a collection of old leaves and sticks. WHAT DID YOUR CHARACTER BRING BACK TO CAMP WITH THEM:
Will has one of the few functional cabins that he decided to work on immediately after showing up.Ā As a means of fixing it up even more (Winston needs a good place to sleep, you know? :P), his supply list was mainly around nabbing some necessities he decided he needed more of as well as some extra things that werenāt part of the supplies given from the project backers for the cabin to make it more comfortable.Ā Will drove back in his own vehicle to have room for his stuff.Ā He came pretty prepared as being out in the woods isnāt anything he hasnāt done before.Ā So the trip back was more of a I could use more of these and this/that he didnāt think heād want but why not kind of grab.
55lb bag of dry dog food.Ā He already brought an extra but thought one more wouldnāt hurt.Ā He can donate it if he doesnāt use it when he gets back.Ā A few boxes of canned dog food for treat meals.Ā Couple of bags of rawhides, a few new toys and a bigger, fluffier bed for the good boy!Ā Flea medication.
One space heater isnāt cutting it.Ā The evenings still get pretty cool and borderline cold, so heās picked up two extra.Ā Small, one room kinds.
Two thicker flannel blankets for the bed.Ā His favorite pillow cause the new ones are too firm and not really that comfortable.Ā One thin cotton blanket.Ā Stuffed into a new canvas bag he bought and forgot was in his closet.

Restock on medications he is low on that arenāt monthly refills (those came in 90 day supplies and heās good). Aspirin, ibuprofen, stomach stuff, benadryl, sleep medication, first aid kit that doesnāt suck.

Solar generator for personal use. Not overly large so he could fit it.Ā Holds an 8 hour charge for small appliances or charging if sat out daily.Ā Heāll use them for charging his stuff/two box fans during warm days.Ā Indoor bug zapper for nighttime.Ā Citronella candles that donāt smell of thick citrus like a morgue or funeral home trying to hide the smell of bodies.Ā The stuff is nauseating.

WHAT DID YOUR CHARACTER DO WHEN THEY GOT BACK TO CIVILIZATION:
Will went back to his house to check on his other dogs and touch base with the dog sitter he hired (one of his former students remaining in Colorado for the summer) and gathered some of the things he brought back to camp. The blankets, some of his clothes, etc.Ā Took a shower, trimmed up and changed clothes then took his car into the city to visit the shopping center where he met up with Hannibal and made the suggestion that he help Hannibal load up since he had room left over in the car for what the professor might need.Ā After that, he took Hannibalās invitation to dinner in downtown Colorado Springs.Ā They went out to eat and had a drink.Ā The two returned to the camp later that night together.
WHATāS BEEN THE BIGGEST ADJUSTMENT OF CAMP LIFE?
Less stress and further removed from the job he left to come to Colorado?Ā Willās not having a hard time adjusting to his surroundings.Ā In his element, his biggest adjustment is being around students he used to be able to walk away from at the end of the day.Ā Heās been coping well, content to say hello and help as needed but keeps mostly to himself and Winston in the evenings reading a book

Willās relaxing as much as the workhaul allows and soaking up the environment. Ā Heās been working on his cabin in his ādowntimeā and assisting with the tasks at hand during the day has been great way to decompress after the school year.Ā Holding up hasnāt been an issue so far.

SCARIEST EXPERIENCE: In Willās experiences, any time he steps his feet in the shoes the killers in the cases heās walked on, the world (and his mind) his a terrifying experience. Ā Not supernatural by any means, Willās brain is wired a little different than normal peoples and he has the keen ability of pure empathy towards the murders he is brought out of teaching from to investigate repeatedly. Ā Even at the risk of his mental health. Ā He can become a victim and become a killer. Ā His investigative ātechniquesā, where they are beyond amazing, take immense toll on him in the form of nightmares, missed sleep and nervous habits. Ā Heās seen entire families slaughtered by his own hands, watched as heās been bled out.
DO THEY BELIEVE IN THE GHOSTS/PARANORMAL?: Will is constantly teetering one way or another on the fence about that. Ā Heās seen evil inside living human beings that would make most demons look innocent in comparison. Ā Itās hard to believe in the afterlife (especially what it could entail..maybe nothing at all?) for him sometimes. Ā Others? Ā Late at night when thoughts like that creep into your mind? Ā Itās a jumble of thoughts mixed in with the others in his head heād give anything to have a solid answer towards. Ā Either reached by his own means or some proof he could pinpoint.

ANY CHANGES TO YOUR CHARACTER THAT SHOULD BE NOTED?: As of yet, Will has not met Hannibal and has not investigated the prolific case that brought them together because it hasnāt (or has yet to have..muwhaha!) taken place. Ā Consider this version of Will as close to canon as possible before that time. Ā However, instead of the Minnesota Shrike being his first case (since our Hannibal is searching for an Abigail), Iām going to just have him having been in the field up til then and several serial killer cases heās worked on having overwhelmed him to the point, due to his unnatural level of empathy and understanding of the killers he helps track down, heās decided to take a break from the Bureau and take up post in new surroundings. Ā Heās only been in his position since the beginning of this past year. Ā I can work with the Hannibal writer on developing an AU in this timeline and will update the bio regularly as it unfolds. Ā There are rumors in the FBI office that his doctor might have had a hand in recommending Colorado Springs for a reason unknown to Will or anyone else at this time.
WHY IS YOUR CHARACTER PARTICIPATING IN THE PROJECT?: A summer in the woods is always a great idea in Willās mind. Ā Great fishing, amazing views, fresh air and a chance to help out if needed for a bit of company he may not seem very involved in keeping but enjoys the background noise of voices around him regardless. Ā They keep his mind a little settled between the quietness he, also, holds dear. Ā So? Ā He packed up his dog Winston and is currently residing in one of the only cabins that would mostly pass an inspection as he helps fix the place up.
