literally everytime i try to edit a post i write bc its way too long and i know i have to cut like at least 9 words, i just wind up adding another like 400 words its tragic

THIS IS SO TRUE. I have read a book that just surrenders to the polyamory, and IT WAS FANTASTIC. Seriously, Adaptation by Malinda Lo. All of her books are great and most involve lesbians.

Blue: 9 facts about my family.

1. my little brother is the hugest movie nerd i know every time we go to the thrift store he always goes through the weird bargain bins of old vhs tapes and comes back with a stack like half his height he's ridiculous

2. he also really loves skateboarding and one time he fell at the skate park and got a concussion (which is surprisingly the worst injury any of us kids have gotten)

3. my older brother is a nerd (and a loser) but he's cute most of the time

4. one time he fell off the top of the swingset because he was walking along the top of it and then he broke his arm (he also tried to jump off of our porch using a giant rainbow piece of fabric as a parachute once (can you tell this is a thinly veiled excuse to tell my favorite embarrassing stories about my siblings?))

5. my little sister is a fucking amazon she's going to be at least 3 inches taller than me the next time i see her and then be insufferably obnoxious about it (i would still win in a fight i am the supreme sibling don't question it)

6. she's also ridiculously athletic and damn she has so much energy i don't understand where she gets she must be stealing it all from me somehow

7. my mom is literally the nerdiest person i know she loves science so much and reads science articles and researches food chemistry it's so awesome

8. she listens to the lord of the rings audiobooks to go to sleep and so she has the most encyclopedic knowledge of the books ever (she remembered that gandalf's silver scarf was actually book canon)

9. the only video games she likes are the just dance games and she's really good at them, especially when we make a night of it and get drunk while doing it (so far it hasn't gone too badly)

Orange: 6 facts about my home town.

1. the religious college i grew up on was insular enough that i really consider it more my hometown than anywhere else (which is kind of weird lmao)

2. we weren't supposed to climb the trees at all and there was this one guy who always got on our case about it and one day i was sitting up in a tree watching him get into his car and i nearly threw a pine cone at his head (but i didn't b/c i was a timid child in many ways)

3. there was a brook that ran through the middle of the campus that was called the troublesome brook because it used to overflow its banks every time it rained

4. that brook was the nastiest, most polluted stream i have ever seen in my life

5. i fell in only once, despite spending a good portion of my time jumping across it to climb the rocks on the other bank

6. every time it snowed, all the snow got plowed into a huge pile at the bottom of the chapel hill and the families would come out to go sledding and if you went fast enough, you could go flying over the pile and into the road

Grey: 2 facts about my favourite things

1. hmmm my friends are some of my favorite things so let's talk about how martinfreemanseyebrows and i used to talk to each other in algebra i by using the text function on our graphing calculators because it was the most hilarious form of note passing i've ever engaged in (and i don't think we ever got caught)
