Don't Mess with the Eevee Master!
The distant noise of a crying Pokemon caught Touya’s attention. Although he could not see the creature he could recognize the cry as belonging to an Eevee. The rather high-pitched noise made Xros twitch in annoyance, as the loyal Pokemon picked his head up to peek out of the small, almost nonexistent, window on the back wall of the tiny house that they had hid away in for the night. The bright glare of the sun screamed at the Pokemon's red eyes. It looked to be almost noon by now, even though this was the first time that either one of them had bothered to look out of the horridly dark and cramped room. Having had spent most of the night and early morning fighting...or rather running from Team Plasma's grunts.
The boy let a soft sigh escape his pale lips as he pushed the failure of last night's raid out of his mind for the time being. He pushed his sore and tired body to its feet, stretching his arms out before turning back to look at the creature by the window. The Pokemon lazily joined its trainer as they slipped out the back door, being extra careful to make sure that they were not being watched. His little stunt last night hadn't gone over well with the supreme rulers of the land and he wouldn't have been surprised if Team Plasma was still on the hunt for him, if only to protect their rather mentally unstable leader.
Xros lead the way, following the noise of the creature as they moved through the now rather abandoned dump that Nimbasa city had became. Thankfully, though, it did not share the fate of the northernmost areas of Unova which were currently completely frozen over, save for the large castle that Team Plasma was so very proud of. He weaved his way through the fallen remains of the gym that had once stood so tall, tucking behind a taller pillar the moment that Team Plasma came into view.
He had to rub his eyes to make sure that he wasn’t seeing things before he actually believed the scene that was unfolding before his eyes. About ten Team Plasma grunts were doing battle with a lone girl and her…Eevee. The sight of a small child shaking, as it stood behind the girl only proved the fact that she seemed to be a member of the resistance. He watched for a moment as the tiny Pokemon charged, without fear, at the ten or more Pokemon standing before it. “Should we help?” He turned to Xros, asking the creature as he really wasn’t sure what to make of the rather odd situation. Xros shook his help, as he questioned the sanity of the girl. Touya raised an eyebrow at the Pokemon for a moment. “Really?” Xros sighed, but gave in.
“Xros, Dragon Pulse!” He commanded the creature. The Pokemon rolled its eyes before unleashing a bright beam at the Pokemon, barely missing the tiny Eevee as he did so. The attack nailed a few of the Pokemon attacking the Eevee, catching the Plasma grunts off guard. Touya took this chance to race over to the girl with the Haxrous following close behind him.
“A-are you all right?” He asked, wondering if getting involved would offend the girl.
