what’s getting an eeg test like? i’m getting one tomorrow morning and i’m rlly nervous,,,
Welp, it depends on what kind you’re going for chickadee, the overnight ones are slightly uncomfortable because you have to have electrodes on your head and carry around a camera/monitor with you for however long your neurologist wants to look at your brainwaves. Then there’s a 24 hour one where you have to stay up 24 hours straight without any stimulants like caffeine or coffee or which was really difficult for me when I took it. However, it has been about six years since I had my last EEG so I’m not sure what kind of testing or procedures they have now. I will say that the EEG testing is the easy part, what your neurologist has you do to prepare for the EEG can be the difficult part depending on your comfortability.
