Deveraux Castle - Inspired by Downton Abbey
Hello, simmers! I made an English country manor style house, inspired by Downton Abbey (Highclere Castle in real life). It’s not a perfect copy of the real life builiding, but they obviously share some similarities. The exterior was made by @RodriBarroso, and I decorated all the interiors.
In my game, this house was built in the early XIV century for His Majesty King Henry III, but has been renovated several times. It’s been used by the royal family as a holiday home until recently, when Her Majesty Queen Edith II, gave it to his son the Duke of Deveraux as a wedding present.
The great hall
The library
The drawing room
The music room
The dining room
The yellow sitting room and the grand staircase
Some of the 18 bedrooms
Some of the 15 bathrooms
The nursery
The staff’s accommodations
Don’t forget about the servants! They have their own semi-detached house, where the kitchen, the servant’s hall and the servant’s bedrooms are located.
A quick look
Custom content that you need
It’s pretty obvious that I used a huge amount of custom content in this build, but if you are a royalty or historical sims player it is likely that you already have most of it. Anyway, I’ve listed all the relevant content that you will need. As for the maxis content I own all the sims 4 packs, and I used most of them.
See CC list here.
And I think, that’s it... You can download the build in the gallery, my origin ID is karloa33 and you can also download the tray files here. For them to show up in your game you only have to put those files into your Tray folder.
I hope you like and enjoy it! Happy simming!
