When Limits are destroyed with too strong of edibles
So I did it. It's been 4 years almost since I started consuming cannabis. I reached my limit of what I will allow for myself on Saturday night and will be taking a significant tolerance break for a little while.
I am a supporter of a legal regulated cannabis industry that allows for on-site consumption. However, I learned Saturday night what can happen if you have too much. It was a rollercoaster of a 24 hour period where I made a conscious choice to "wild out" and when they said that corner of the blonde brownie they gave me was strong I said "challenge accepted".
I then had the most embarrassing night of my life where I peed all over the bed and the floor and I spent a night alone with a broken phone and screaming in my head for help that I should be taken to the hospital because I had serious pain my pelvis area but never had the strength to insist on it. I woke up to realize it was the next day and I had been there for 24 hours.
The next day I couldn't drive as I was still too drugged so I took a taxi to a hotel I knew had food and wifi and emailed my support system via the email that made my mom come to rescue me and she took me to the hospital where we learned I had a serve Urinary tract infection.
I am home now still trying to clear my head and move forward. I'm grateful for having found my Limits. Now it's time to take a break from cannabis and use other natural remedies for my medicine needs. The whole purpose of the Illuminate Cannabis Foundation is not only to Illuminate the good of the plant and yet also the bad when too much is consumed under the wrong circumstances.
I've got 5 days until I leave for Germany and I'm grateful I learned this lesson before I left because it helped me learn who my support system here on ground in Alaska really is.
Back to sleep with me. Until next time!
