The two fragmans released have me very excited for the upcoming episode of SCK. Going to try to keep my expectations low though after watching the last two episodes but we seem to be heading towards a much better place for Eda & Serkan. Although I am raising my eyebrows at his comments about Eda giving up on him and not feeling anything when she looks at him. Dude you need to check yourself because you have been super rude towards Eda. And you told her that you were with Selin & had no interest in trying to start over with her. Get that her quick engagement would be difficult to make sense of the more he learns about their relationship & falls for her but he needs to think about how he has been acting. And maybe in his eyes she did give up by getting engaged Deniz since he thinks it is real but he was not even willing to try, so.....🤷🏻♀️
You’re gonna make me put on my Serkan apologist cap again, lol. I get what you’re saying, you’re not wrong, but remember Serkan has been through A LOT. So I’m still cutting him some slack. When he came back with no memory, recovering from injuries, having been poisoned against Eda by Selin, and brainwashed by Selin into fearing that the person he grew into with Eda was the antithesis of everything he’s ever stood for-- and not to mention suffering from PTSD-- he was understandably a bit prickly and discombobulate and he reacted very badly. VERY BADLY.
However, as soon as the engagement to Selin took the pressure off, and he allowed himself to consider Eda, and he spent a little time with her, and people told him they had this great love, he got curious.
He doesn’t remember Eda, so he understands things from his perspective, why it doesn’t make sense to be with her. But as he thinks about her perspective and what relationship they might have had, and spends time with Eda and realizes maybe she’s not evil, and that maybe just maybe they did have something special, how can he not be shocked and curious when she, who can remember him, who everyone says shared a great love with him, can just decide to marry someone else when it’s been just a day or two?
I mean... it’s absolutely ridiculous. And not remotely believable. But he’s not looking at it through that lens, as his heart opens up to her, he’s looking at it through the, “If she loved me so much, why isn’t she even trying?” lens and “If she loved me so much, why doesn’t she care?” lens and the, “If we had this great love, how can she move on so easily?” lens. And even though he’s the one who rejected her, these are legitimate questions for a traumatized, brainwashed, confused amnesia victim to ask! Wouldn’t you be concerned if he wasn’t curious about that? Also her moving on, to him, calls into question the legitimacy of their relationship right as he’s interested in trying to figure out who they were to one another and what the relationship meant to him.
There’s a hurt, “I’m injured and don’t remember her, but how could she find me so forgettable?” feeling that plays on every fear that Serkan Bolat has about himself being unlovable and someone people leave.
That feeling is only being compounded by the way he’s starting to feel. He was clearly affected by her immediately, that kiss she sprung on him completely “confused” him and caused him to react drastically. But as he lets down his guard, and they share some quiet moments together, he now recognizes that he’s drawn to her, he’s attracted to her, he also gets a taste of their dynamic which makes him wonder even more why she’s not fighting for it.
Of course, little does he know that Eda knows him better than he knows himself and she’s fighting like hell for him. And he’s doing exactly what she wants and needs him to do, he’s starting to feel things and question things. She gave him a little time and space to be able to fall for her on his terms which is exactly what she needed to do. So while I’m not sure how Eda is going to respond to these questions, lets hope she’ll sense the exact right moment to come clean.
