Thank you for the reply, it's actually... not very unhinged to me! Though, the meme made me laugh. You said that having your word count visible to others helps with accountability, and I just wanted to let you know that your word count really inspires me. I was writing a lot until 2019, and then a whole bunch of stuff happened which made me stop writing. About two weeks ago I really noticed your word count, and it reminded me of how I was always chasing my personal word count when I was writing (positively), and how I missed it, so I tried writing again!! For the first time in years!! I don't think I'll write the way I used to, but you made it more fun for me, I think. Seeing your word count inspires me to have a word count too. Anyway feel free not to reply to this, it just made me happy and I thought it might make you smile too. All the love <3

I really enjoy cooperative writing and writing sprints (tbh, I've sometimes thought about running a write-in Twitch where I'm writing, and other people are writing if/when they join in, and we're all just writing together lol), and sharing wordcounts can feel like that too. I'm so happy you got/get something out of it.

My other biggest hope is that mostly people won't expect themselves to be writing the same numbers, because I'm in a rare position of being able to do this as my job, and also like...I've had 10 years of practice writing a lot of words, so my wordcounts will naturally be higher than folks who aren't in those positions.
