Holy fuck man. She's genuinely one of my three all time favorite authors. Sarah J Maas and Leigh Bardugo are the two others-

Why?

This woman knows how to write for women.

I'm 60 pages into Dragonmark and holy fuck i'm in love with Illarion. And Edilyn, but you know 😅 her writing is so vibrant, so eloquent and bold and beautiful, it really gets at the true core of the characters so fast. Not to mention she writes atypical characters. Illarion's mute, Edilyn is taller than most men and chubby/fat, and yet she's described as beautiful.

Yall wanna know my expectations for guys? Just read about the GOOD characters in SJ Maas or Sherrilyn Kenyon books.

My expectations for a well written female character? Same. Damn. Thing.
