Edge of Sleep should succeed.
Go and watch the edge of sleep on amazon prime. i know there are thousands of posts out there, whether it be on here or anywhere else, but I also wanted to do my part, even if it's little.
I finished the show a few nights ago and it was wonderful, it has problems of course, nothing is perfect, but the premise and acting of the show is wonderful that it deserves to succeed. I know people throw Mark into the posterboy role of Edge of Sleep but most seem to forget there are other people that worked on the show, and plus the fact it was a podcast before a show. It stars Mark, but it's not his creation solely! So go and watch Edge of Sleep on prime, and if you can't watch whether because you can't afford Prime, or the show or service isn't available at all, definitely spread word around about it.
Of course do not be annoying and harass others with/about it, just mention it to friends as a show worth checking out, at least the first two episodes, and that's it. Don't shove it down people's throats every second, but spread word the around, stream the show yourself if you're able to. And beyond that, support the original podcast itself too of Edge of Sleep, since without it we wouldn't have the show.
This is a show that needs to succeed, not just because Mark wants it to, or because it helps with Iron Lung, but because it's a genuine entertaining show that has a lot of passion and hard work put into it that deserves to be recognized as an actual piece of art and media instead of being brushed aside just because of a well-known youtube personality being involved in it. It'll help others be able to create their passion projects that they can't because of this stigma that 'social-media influencers are bad' or whatever have you. There are talented creative people out there who want and should be able to share their work and passion to the world but can't because of corpos and all that pushing them down.
This show should succeed because of the work and love and passion put into it. Do what I'm doing, post around about Edge of Sleep, make it known that it's a thing that exists that has creative people behind it. If you don't like the show, that's fine, you're completely valid to not like the show, but we shouldn't let the hardwork go to waste. I wanna see Iron Lung release in theaters, and Edge of Sleep succeeding would help Mark in achieving that, but more importantly, I want to see this show thrive since it's actually unique and interesting and, i know I sound like a broken record but, the teams behind it should have their hard work be wasted and dusted behind everything else.
Anyways, yeah, go watch the show if you can. if you can't, tell people about the show and tell them to give it a chance, IN a non-annoying and non-harassing way of course. And go a step further to support the original podcast too.
Just let it be known that it exists and isn't some 'Youtuber thing' or whatever.
It's a piece of media, made by a team of passionate people, that shouldn't be forgotten or left behind because bigwigs in suits with no creative passion or bone in their body say so.
