My dream adaptations for each taz campaign are:
- Balance: anime/cartoon series. I’m talking 7 seasons, 24 20 min eps per season
- Amnesty: live-action tv series. A la Supernatural seasons 1-4. I actually think the lower the effects budget is for the magic and bom boms the better. I don’t want to settle for a streamer to pick this up and do a limited series of 90 min episodes. We know how to make good tv.
- Commitment: traditonal american comic series. A 4-6 issue limited run could honestly work well here. In my head this is the most likely. C’mon Clint, please please please
- Dust 1&2: feature length films. Straight up if they got the right art director this could be done animated or live action. The key for me here would be keeping the ambience without leaning too far into the many different references Travis used to build it.
- Graduation: i really really really want this to be a visual novel. Can you imagine? Would go hard. You can follow the three pcs in different playthroughs
- Ethersea: sorry. I can’t talk about this one coherently. Any and everything the McElroys are able to give me for ethersea is the best thing to ever happen to me. Maybe a ff-esque video game could be cool or they could just make a new poster. Seriously anything
- Steeplechase: the funniest thing ever would be if they just licensed out the characters and storylines to one of those traveling carnivals to do a pop up steeplechase. And then it’s the cheapest and laziest adaptation ever. Like just a plastic banner that says Gutter City taped over the regular funhouse or an amateur improv group portraying the characters type of stuff. I would die
- TAZ vs. Dracula: ok, so a) a scooby doo style cartoon. Like og scooby doo with not much overarching plot. b) a board game in the style of betrayal at house on the hill. Except instead of the evil changing i’m thinking the path to drac could change each time, sticking to angrave or even just lumineaux. Because of the way the boys approach playing this campaign i think something less bound to the podcast’s narrative is better
- Abnimals: obvi TMNT style cartoon series with accompanying toy line. When will i be able to buy an official Navy Seal action figure?
