Exactly! That's what annoys me about so many people who comment on Parks things (I'm looking at you, AV Club commenters). They claim to be such big fans of the show, but then make ridiculous statements about perfect moments on the show, and demonstrate that they have completely missed the point. It's one thing if you just don't get the show/it's not your thing, but for anyone to claim to be a fan and to completely miss its message is beyond me.
Also, I'm pretty sure you responded to my post on jezebel and it made me smile :)
Ugh, I know. But it hurts to read. They seem to want some typical tv romance, which is great on some shows obviously. But I LOVE that Leslie and Ben's relationship is atypical. In fact, it's WHY I love them together so much. And if people don't see their adorable nerdy connections as chemistry, I feel like they don't understand the characters or the show. It makes the characters seem like real people and I appreciate that. Preaching to the choir, I know, but I'm just so frustrated!
I seriously just do not understand!! How is it possible?? They watch this show regularly and don't see the chemistry?? I guess it's just a reminder that people really do see things SO differently (and often incorrectly, as the case may be :) )
