ohhh this is going to be nice most of my time shipping this is just me screaming into the abyss that is GRRM’s sadistic tendencies

well firstly there’s my infamously popular post about Ned adopting everything and Cat being all “oh gods not again” which still stands

it took a long time for them to progress from “my lord” and “my lady” to being on first name terms. Since Ned was often called by his nickname by his brother or friends, Catelyn eventually slipped from “Eddard” to “Ned” without much fanfare. However, since Cat was her childhood nickname, Ned didn’t actually know it until she asked him to call her that. It sounded odd to him at first, since he was so used to calling her and thinking of her by her formal name, but eventually it became natural. (ugh all my asoiaf ships give me major feels about names)

when their older children, Robb and Sansa, were younger, and Cat was trying to teach them about her gods, Ned would often listen in and ask completely serious questions that to her sounded absolutely ridiculous.

I know, I wish I could have bought the dress, it was really pretty, but too seductive for my mother’s taste, slightly too big on me, and too expensive for my limited budget.
