Zaher: The “power” of the Pharaohs and the Shazah is not a literal power per se, more a legitimizing claim for our rule, but through our direct connection to divinity, that power can be made more literal. There are other tales of my ancestors wielding the fires of the sun to burn away abominations in the night, and my grandmothers could heal the sick and injured with the gentle light of the stars. How this is unlocked is a mystery to me though...

Viris: You... aren’t going to fight me?

Yamiko: We may have once been enemies, but I am not one to deny help to someone who needs it, even if they were hostile in the past.

Edare: We are so much more than our responsibilities and our actions, my friend. We are all learning creatures: despite what mistakes we’ve made, and what ills have befallen us, we will always learn, and must become better from what we’ve learned. 

You’ve been so admirably strong, true, and resilient in the face of such dire straits on your journey; your near-miss with Toxic, your caring with Spooky, your bravery in the face of Insect and Zap; as recently your maturity and wisdom with Dread and his daughter Pixie, and as far back as your mercy and understanding with her namesake. Sadness, grief, doubt, and anxiety will no doubt come in time, but they are simply reminders of times we were once happy, secure, and at peace. They remind us of whence we strive to return, and must leave once the time comes. This too, shall pass.

It is never easy, bearing the weight of an Everything upon one’s shoulders, let alone being a mother, and doing what’s right in the face of doubt. I’ve only gotten this far because I’ve been blessed with the ability to start again, many billions of times before now. You’ve been blessed with this chance to mend what’s been wounded, thanks to Iron’s compassion. I know your sorrow, your anxiety, your pain, but it is not what you will be remembered for.

You are welcome to rest here as long as you need, my friend. I will be here for you, always.

- The Beginning -

Galya: Ascension this, perfection that, no one cares! Nobody cares! They just don’t want to be thrown in jail or worse for speaking against her! I hate this fucking empire!

Edare: As for meeting them, er, Tempo, Aster, and Singulare are all some distance away from Earth at the moment. They’ve got their duties to fulfill, making sure the universe runs smoothly. Can’t have any stutters now, can we?

The other four should be around Earth somewhere. I haven’t entirely bothered to keep up with them in my hermitage. I wonder sometimes what they might be up to.
