Hi Anon!! I've read it and while not pleased (not in the slightest), I'm actually finding it humorous! If you are a Chris Coghill fan ... this may not be the post for you... I got nothing against the man. (ETA: That's not completely true. After reading the interview, he comes across very entitled and unprofessional imo.) But here, I'm commenting on the comments he made in a recent interview. I understand as a fan of his and/or Kev, you may not want to read this so warning...😬🤣

Honestly, prior to Emmerdale, if you said his name to me ...

Oh Anon, this interview there were some gems...

"There's people going 'Kev's really funny!' and other people going, 'Yeah, but what about that time he stabbed himself in prison to emotionally blackmail Robert?' Robert's an absolute lying piece of ...' What is Robert lying about?? He's not lying about Kev emotionally blackmailing him because he still DOES NOT KNOW about the self-stabbing! Robert started having to lie AFTER the self-stabbing, WHICH HE STILL DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT!! Jeez! 🤦🏽‍♀️ For crying out loud, the show has Robert telling Kev he has a "heart of gold"!? And that he deserves the chance to be a dad! 🙄 Kev is not the victim here!! I mean, we know he don't read the scripts but skim them at least! Ask AI for a summary of the storyline, hell! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bottom line, his character was written to be a dangerous, violent, manipulative, sociopathic abuser ... and perhaps he thought he successfully escaped that characterization with his improvisation work. But apparently not, since there are folks still calling out "Kev emotionally blackmailing Robert" (the way that quote reads like a comment on ED's socials ... is he reading our comments??! I'm flattered. 🤗🤣) 'Nothing that came out of Robert's mouth the entire time Kev was with Robert was true!' Umm...like what? The lie about working on his appeal? The lie about Vic's brain tumor so that he could leave PRISON? The lies he told so that he wouldn't anger Kev? The lies he told out of FEAR of angering Kev? I don't know what point he thought he was making with that statement but nice try though, I guess. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🤣 Anon... this part of the interview was pure gibberish to me .... 'I always knew the timescale that first bit was going to play out over, but as we did it and, to an extent the way I was doing it, it was like, "Oh ... The writing's slightly different. ' Huh?? Where I am it has been quite foggy and a tad spooky. Especially once dusk hits. I like it though, it brings the smell of the ocean into my tiny town from miles away. I'm sure rain in Narnia is breath taking. Though, I do wonder how warm the castle is, considering it's made of marble and stone.

This is another thing that pisses me off about him. Telling us he’s “complex” because of cakes and karaoke. Lazy ass writing. Him being a psycho is meant to be why he’s complex but they’re also trying to dim that side of him because they know it ruins his longevity on the show. He can’t be too crazy. So how are they going to balance that? Just have him walking around with his hands behind his back like he’s some Secret Service agent and act tough without actually hurting people?
