Baekhyun has quite the temper. Admittedly, he isn’t the most social of individuals on a good day, but he’s also quick to anger. He came from an abusive household and so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. However, there’s a critical distinction between his father’s temper and Baekhyun’s– even at his worst, Baekhyun’s anger never turns physical. Instead, he uses words as weapons, or more often disengages from a situation until he cools off.
Generally, he’ll retreat to a rooftop or fire escape to cool his head. Failing that, he’s been known to climb on top of the fridge in his dorm a time or twenty. There’s something about being out of reach that helps him cool his head. Maybe it’s as simple as the knowledge that so long as no one can reach him, no one can hurt him.
Watching his boyfriend attempt to coax him down from the fridge never hurts his mood either.
