since i'm still on a dunmeshi kick, i'll pick laios for this lol
2. A canon or headcanon hill I will die on: laios does care about people more than he lets on. he may not be the most observant when it comes to people, but he is very trustworthy even to people who are obviously taking advantage of him. he did used to donate to other adventurers who were less fortunate than him. he never asks for payments when helping someone. he has a more optimistic outlook when it comes to strangers. which says a lot since he's been bullied so profoundly in the past, and by his home village bullying falin.
4. Favorite line: laios has a lot of great lines, but i think mine has to be the ending of the manga, as he pretty much sums up what the theme of the story is about.
27. Their guilty pleasure: well, it's no secret he loves monsters lol. or even wanting to be one.
50. A memory they’ve blocked out: i'm pretty sure laios has locked away how badly bullied he was when he was in boarding school and later, military boot camp. it's not talked nearly enough that this bullying, and feeling like a failure to protecting falin, put laios in a self destructive depression.
