She was determined. To act as a guiding light to the lost. A shield for the fearful. Overbearing, perhaps. But Gentle. Kind. Warm. Refusing to let either the Sun or Moon to face the vastness of the sky alone. Even when no other would stand with them. Or for them.

Even the times when the Moon and the Sun struggled to stand together.

That is. Until the Accident. Until the death of one of her wards.

A pin setter. Is. A monster with crushing jaws. Teeth.

… None of us like to go into Bonnie Bowl anymore.

But while the Bunny was the poor soul who had to see. Hear. Has to return to see the monsters jaws again and again. It was not him who broke the most. Who has broke the most.

The light in her eyes died that day. The warmth in her soul doused. Gentleness turned to cold hard stone.

The children were still watched over. The Moon and Sun were still watched over. But as one watches over sheep. Not friends. Not friends. And the Moon…

The Moon regarded as a potential wolf in sheeps clothing. Never trusted, looked upon with suspicion. And it was never explained why.

No. Not friends. Not anymore.

But, she did not lose her dedication to protection. Ha ha ha. No, no, no! Far from it.

Far, far from it.

She was dedicated to the point of madness.

Through means unknown, she became sunk into the entire system. Every system. Across her all her many wards. Became more a conduit for a bodiless all-reaching. All-seeing. Unrelenting. AI.     

Always watching. Always watching.

She was not just in the system. She became it.

No longer machine with heart. Just a machine. Relentless. Emotionless. And cold, cold, cold.

She would always be there to snatch up every child who strayed too far. Even those of her other territories. Other locations. With almost unnatural speed and precision.

Yet, for all her dedication, Fazbear one day decided the Pizzaplex still needed a human security guard. Even if no longer friends, the Moon and Sun could not help but hold offense on the striped machine’s behalf.

And then. And then. 7 sunsets after the human’s arrival, the striped warden sent a message to all animatronics to beware the presence of a terrible sickness. Codes of malicious intent plaguing all of the Pizzaplex. A virus in the system. One that could bring terrible ruin and horror to us all. All of us raised our firewalls. All of us were on guard. The striped machine was cold and heartless. But never, never a liar.

Thankfully, the very next day, the insidious infection was completely gone. But…

So was the Starlight Security Puppet. Gone. Gone. Vanished without a trace. No word. No watching. No protector.

No chance left to fix things...

 (Moon drops down from the top of the repair tube back onto the floor, facing Eclipse with a slight bow with one hand held out to the side)

“And here, the rest of the pages of the story, are blank.”

(Straightening up, the Moon drops it’s “storyteller” voice, losing its whimsical lilt entirely for the first time since Eclipse arrived through the portal.)

“The human guard is in hospital. Tonic-Clonic Seizure. Concussion. I cannot question them. Starlight’s Fazwatch is not responding to my pings and I cannot track down its signal. The Security system is purged entirely of any indication that Starlight had ever even tampered with it.”

(The Moon begins pacing. Seems it cannot keep itself still for very long)

“Not that I could comprehend the extremely unique programming language she used anyway. Spaghetti code does not even begin cover it. She would never explain to me how it worked, or she wormed her way in so deeply into the Fazbear system so and not have anyone but me even notice. No matter how. Many. Times. I. Asked.”

(The bot turn to Eclipse, the usual rasp in its voice deepening into a frustrated growl)

“Rrrrrrrrrrrr, And only Me. And the Other Me. Seem to care that. she! Is! Missing! Ha ha ha, beyond fu@@@@@ Fazbear being oh-so-upset about the financial loss.”

“But you? I would say you are one of her wards from another location. Maybe something like me?  But I do not know any Me able to arrive somewhere by stepping through a hole in the world.”

(The Moon gives off the impression of raising an eyebrow, despite lacking any to raise.)
