It apparently was off and she looked all over and didn’t see a way to turn it on, besides where it had come from, her purse had been closed and no one had been close enough to her as to slip it inside she didn’t think. But it was odd because it felt familiar, like something she had lost long ago and forgot about it but of course that wasn’t it because she had never seen something like this before at all. The eye symbol specially made her feel in a way she wasn’t quite sure how to describe, she felt it meant something important, she even felt nostalgic? 

She shook her head as she heard someone talking to her she had gotten very lost in thought, “Oh I’m sorry I just...have you seen something like this before?” she asked showing the tablet.. thingy.

He’d had the pen as long as he could remember. It was just a plastic ballpoint, the ninety-cents-at-Staples kind. He couldn’t remember when or where or why he’d picked it up--probably at some school event or a work thing or the bank. (When was the last time he’d been to the bank? Had he ever been to the bank?) Percy just knew that he always seemed to have it on him. It was in a jacket pocket, at the bottom of his bag, perched on his nightstand, half-full of its cheap ink.

He hadn’t thought much of it. It was a pen. It wrote fine. His handwriting was a nightmare no matter what pen he used; he couldn’t be picky. This one did its job.

Until Percy sat in the town square, skateboard propped against the bench, trying to remember a grocery list. (Maybe if he wrote it down, he’d finally buy a vegetable. Maybe. No promises, Mom.) He grabbed the pen from his pocket and uncapped it, but before he could pop the cap onto the back of its shitty plastic shaft, it wasn’t a pen anymore.

It was a sword.

A whole-ass full-sized glowing-bronze sword. In public. In the middle of town. In his hand. The pen cap fell to the ground with a rattle, and he nearly dropped the sword, too, but something instinctual, some weird and a little bit horrifying kind of muscle memory, kicked in and gripped it like he’d been doing this his whole life.

He slipped it into his pocket as he headed out to work, but veered off course, and sent his P.A. -- that Zelda woman -- a text to reschedule his meetings. He wasn’t going into the office today. Not with this hanging over his head some sort of sword of Damocles. So, here he was, sitting in the Echo Springs coffeehouse, staring at it.

It was innocuous enough -- a silver full hunter watch, with black circles and symbols across it, and a long chain. But he couldn’t stop fiddling with it, turning it over and over in his hands, twisting the chain, tracing the symbols with his fingertips. But he didn’t open it. It wouldn’t open. He knew that without even trying to -- it felt stiff, stuck, like the stupid thing was broken.

As he stared at it, the drumming continued. Always. That steady, repetitive, unending, rhythm. They were more insistent than ever, as he studied the watch. One two three four, one two three four -- 

You’ve been going about your normal life, but sure something is missing. Surely, there’s something that you experienced, something that you know once happened... But you can’t recall.

And then one day, you can.

At 6:48pm (EST) on January 17th, 2022, it all clicked in. Just as the moon reaches its fullest state. You suddenly remembered everything from your old life; be it your powers, your trauma, or your loved ones. It all snapped into place and suddenly you’re overwhelmed with memories, you’re between rejoicing and agonizing - how do you respond? Who are you, now, with all your memories and powers?

Who will you be when they disappear again?

At midnight, with absolutely no warning, your memories vanish once more. You can only remember your life in Echo Springs, your recollections back to their fuzziest forms, but you’re somewhere you don’t recognize. Where are you, after your memory relapse? What changed? What did you do in that gap of time?

The January full moon is known as the Wolf Moon, reaching its fullest on January 22nd, 2022 at 6:48pm EST. The bright star appearing near the Wolf Moon is Pollux, the brighter of the twin stars in the Gemini constellation.

For this event, from 6:48pm to midnight, your character will recall their canon lives and regain whatever powers they might have - they’ll understand that, somehow, they were thrown into a completely unfamiliar world - and will act accordingly. After that time, they will wake up in whatever situation they put themselves in as they found those memories, with their minds once again wiped and their powers gone. What did they do? How did they handle it?

This event will run from January 17th until January 24th. You are free to continue event threads after the event has closed, but please do not begin threads during the ‘gap time’ after the event is over. Write a starter or self para during that gap of time when they remembered everything, or start something about how they ‘woke’ with Echo Springs memories again, and where they were. This can be a fun time to form strange connections here in Echo Springs. Use the tag #echospringswolfmoon to show off your self paras or open starters for the event!

That’s right - the Springs Lounge is throwing a party. There’s a new addition with a full kitchen, a wide bar full of Halloween cocktails, and celebration to be had. This event will run from November 1 - November 7 (giving you plenty of time to finish off that Halloween candy while you write!). There will be gambling and other games, as well as dancing and live music. We will be posting a meme dedicated to this event that you can use to set off interactions or talk about your muse!

Sheikah slate

The Sheikah Slate is a multipurpose tablet bearing the Crest of the Sheikah.

The Sheikah Slate was used to access the Map of Hyrule Kingdom, displays the current Temperature and time. It also grants access to any of the many Ancient Shrines and Sheikah Towers located across Hyrule Kingdom. 

The Sheikah Slate is able to receive Runes, a form of information that bestows the device a number of different abilities. And it also had a camera feature.
