Two people, max: Hey where is the rest of the "Silly Hats and Party Favors" podfic?
Look, I was busy. I was busy writing a 70k+ Act One to my Sonadow fanfic. Yes, I write fanfiction! Writing is actually my primary creative outlet, so it's nice to finally put it out there into the fandom.
Here is my promise to you! This fic is long. It has a publishing schedule. I have beta's. It is primarily Sonadow with some OC's for plot purposes. Their relationship and romance comes first! And it is set in sort of the quasi-canonical universe where I cherry-picked what I needed in order for this story to happen. Any errors you can blame on me, I am a relative newcomer to the Sonic fandom.

Shadow staggered to his feet; Sonic caught him at the shoulder before he fell over. “Hey,” Sonic murmured, “I meant it, you know. About being your friend.”
“I meant it too. You don’t know what you’re asking for.”
A different message than just a straight no, Shadow realized too late. He observed the sharp perk of Sonic’s ears while the grip that shifted to his bicep gave a squeeze. “Tell me. Tell me what I’m not getting.” A cough had Sonic wipe his mouth with the back of his glove. “I want to learn what it takes to be your friend.”
It started with the chao. Then, strange energy signatures. It was easy work; the everyday run-of-the-mill adventure. Sonic’s friends would make space for him, always- but when he isn’t around, they’re still living their lives without him. He’s starting to feel the impact.
At least he can count on Shadow to stay the same.
The pair of hedgehogs work together to solve a new threat, learn just how far family extended beyond the ARK, and challenge each other to let go of the things too heavy to hold while honoring what is meant to be remembered.
