#echoes beyond

Apparently, neurotypical people just.. don't try at anything??? I used to admire how people would somehow all be able to make stuff to effortlessly "normal," but it turns out they're literally just not putting in any effort. T_T

Putting stuff down at an angle on a rectangular table instead of perpendicular? They're halfassing it. Drawing lines that don't perfectly line up? They're halfassing it. Typing with numerous typos without going back to fix it? They're halfassing it. The way they slouch so perfectly normally? They're halfassing it. The way they walk, the way they talk, the way they stand and sit and shift their weight, the way they spend half the class on their phones or chatting, the way they don't look at you when they're busy yet still having a conversation with you, the way they drive with only one hand on the wheel, the way they never give you context, the way they never seem to be able to be happy in a relationship, carrying everything instead of investing in a backpack, never zipping up their coats in the winter, only ever wearing hoodies and sweatpants, going to school in their pajamas. They're all just halfassing everything!

why would they all be doing that? Well, because it's just the natural way normal people do things, obviously! (It's not. They. just. don't. care.)

Why don't they care? This is so incredibly concerning! Is modern life just so depressing that none of my peers care enough to put in any effort into anything? Am I putting in too much effort in trying to immitate their carelessness? Should I stop putting effort into false negligence?
