You know how Narrator referred to himself as an echo of a dead man? This is just headcanonplay but could you imagine if, Narrator being just a fractured piece of a once complete man, also had that thing Quiet does where different aspects of personality/different actions to take were sepetate voices, and he was one of them? Maybe he chose himself specifically because he knew the rest of him wouldn't have it in him to [title card] because he knew she was innocent? It was a little weird how he never said that she did anything wrong, but even said "I hate you 🖕🖕🖕" to Spectre when she was being lowkey pretty chill. Instead of maybe something like "Look, part of the whole ordeal is that I can't can't into specifics about it, or the whole thing will fall apart, but do know that I am sorry that this has to happen. If it's any consolation, after today, if everything goes right, something like this will never have to happen again." Like idk I just assume someone who would give his one and only him so that everyone could have everlasting life would be a bit more empathetic.
