Ancient City Loot
Amethyst, Prismarine & Echo Shard (1536 x 1664 ; 1664 x 1664 ; 1792 x 1792)
I think it'd be cool if Echo Shard was changed to build out of Rapid Recharge and only gave another use of a charged skill.
That'd take away its most obnoxious and unbalanced uses (setup like Abrams charge, Venator shotgun, or Haze sleep and the ever unpopular double Bebop bomb) and limit the scope to skills that are already balanced around high uptime and frequent use.
Hopefully it'd see frequent use on some characters without becoming a must buy on everyone who has a charged ability and the lower cost to upgrade would be more in line with its more limited use cases.

Title: The Difference between the Sea and the Sky Chapter: 53/60 Beta: @fairtomato fairest by far. Warning: None Summary: There’s something unexpected in the Echo Shard, and Kaidan and Javik have considerably different ideologies.
Author’s Note: I feel like the Keepers were supposed to go somewhere a little more epic than they went, but I suppose that’s exactly the providence of fanfic writers. So here goes. I like writing conversations between Javik and Kaidan, because they are so different and so... assured. Things start building to the climax very quickly after this chapter.

Title: The Difference between the Sea and the Sky Chapter: 52/60 Beta: @fairtomato the golden tomato. Warning: Violence Summary: Kaidan uses the Echo Shard to live the final scenes of ME3 through Shepard’s eyes. Final Part. Shepard makes his choice and resigns himself to the consequences
Author’s Note: This arc is something I wanted to write for a long time, because the idea of Echo Shard and Kaidan watching the events on the Crucible is sorta beautiful and heartbreaking. Suddenly being able to know what your lover is feeling as he goes to face his death? Anyway, I hope that it is advancing a story people are interested in reading!

Title: The Difference between the Sea and the Sky Chapter: 51/60 Beta: @fairtomato, does not cannibalize Warning: None. Summary: Kaidan uses the Echo Shard to live the final scenes of ME3 through Shepard’s eyes. Part 2 of 3
Author’s Note: Part 2 of this little mini-arc, nearing the end of this giant story. A smaller chapter than the last, and kinda experimental, because... well, this whole thing is pretty experimental. Trying to tie all of Mass Effect (and this story) into the ending, because probably I’m the only one in the world who REALLY LIKES the ME3 ending. but anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Title: The Difference between the Sea and the Sky Chapter: 50/60 Beta: @fairtomato, makes a fair sauce Warning: None. Summary: Kaidan uses the Echo Shard to live the final scenes of ME3 through Shepard’s eyes. Part 1 of 3
Author’s Note: I don’t usually admit this, because then bad things happen. But this is probably one of my favorite chapters. I like the idea a lot and I hope I lived up to it. This forms a mini-arc with the next two chapters--both of which are CONSIDERABLY shorter. Anyway, like it or hat eit, lemme know what you think.
