“ani,”  she  murmured  his  name  with  such  gentleness,  her  hands  going  to  his  loose  curls,  fingers  combing  through  his  hair.   “oh,  anakin,  don’t  you  see  what’s  happening?   we  don’t  have  to  hide,  not  anymore.”

             a moment of hesitation before hand reaches out.  fingers just barely take a hold of the jedi’s robes,  gives a timid tug in an attempt to garner his attention.  she does her best to do the tasks put before her without a word of complaint.  desires only to keep her head down,  do what is required of her,  give that necessary information  (  poke into shrouded minds when asked  ).  discomfort leads her to action.  fear.  the difficulty lies in this:  some of the bureaucrats she has served in the past are not enemy to jedi.  but it does not mean they were kind to her.  voice is low,  as quiet as possible,  only audible to present company  (  she hopes  )   “  please—  may i...stay out.  this time?  ”  meeting does not require her presence if she already knows they are not the kind of threat which matters to the republic. 

he shifts on unsteady feet in the dark ,     fingers tightening around the grip of his sword as he wills himself to just  shut up and listen   ( it’s a simple enough sentiment ,     until theory becomes practice ) .     the gentle breeze whispers indecipherable secrets in his ears ,     kissing at his rosy cheeks ,     and the little king stumbles as he  swipes  blindly ,     blade protecting him from naught but the cool air around them .     ❛ er . . .     oreius ? ❜     peter tries ,     lifting a hand from rhindon to instead flutter over the blindfold like a ghost ;     though he does not dare remove it .     ❛ i don’t think i’m getting the hang of this . ❜

         no,  that  wasn’t  it.  the  jedi  never  gave  up  on  anything,  but  there  seemed  to  be  a  banal  --  peace  to  their  concern.  the  one  thing  that  frustrated  daniel  the  most  about  the  way  of  the  jedi  was  their  CALM ,  COMPLACENCY.  ever  since  he  had  got  picked  up  as  a  force  sensitive  candidate,  and  more  evident  when  he  began  his  training  --  his  IMPULSIVE , IMPATIENT  strides  fail  to  be  tempered.  looking  at  the  other  master,  he  takes  in  a  deep  breath.  “ i  mean  no  disrespect,  but  it  seems  like  no  one  is  doing  anything  with  any  urgency  concerning  master  windu.  it  feels  like  you’ve  all  abandoned  him. ”
